On June 16, 2021, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Earl and Countess of Wessex and Princess Anne attended the second day of the 2021 Royal Ascot horse racing meet, in Ascot, west of London. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall presented the trophy to the winner of day one's featured race, the St. James's Palace Stakes. For 2021, Royal Ascot organizers are putting an emphasis on sustainability, encouraging all racegoers to shop from their own closets or buy something second-hand.

  1. Sophie looks much better than yesterday! Love her skirt, although a proper midi length would've been better. Well accessorised with the lilac hat. And her hair/ updo is sublime, looks awesome!
Anne looks better as well, a more summery colour. Her sunglasses often make me chuckle.
Camilla nice and appropriate again, predictable, but still good. Fancy fabric of her coat(dress), I like it!
As a final note: Charles for once isn't wearing stripes and this light grey suit looks very good on him, especially with the subtle lilac accessories. Well done!

  2. Sorry, I also want to add that Sophie's hairstyle isn't just beautiful, but it also makes her look so young, fresh and very feminine. I just love it!!

  3. I like Sophie's skirt and top much better than yesterday's outfit, though I still think the skirt is too long. I like big hats but this is a bit wild, even for me. Camilla is very smart again. Once more, the Princess Royal goes for a strong colour and this green is lovely on her though I still wish she would give up on the gloves. Her hat is great. Could it even be new? or borrowed from Zara (her daughter , not the shop!)? Nice to see her alongside Andrew Parker Bowles, as they were romantically involved 50 years ago.

I had the same thought about Anne's hat, thinking that it might have been borrowed from Zara. I also have a problem with her wearing gloves. They give me a "you are a peasant" vibe. The Queen is the only one we should see in gloves. They are just as much a part of her as her hats and black handbags. ~d

  4. Anne has me smile at the contrast between her ultra conservative outfit and her gangsta shades.
I´d like Sophie´s outfit quite a lot if the skirt had been knee-length. She seems to favour those ankle-length skirts which unfortunately often look bulky on her.
Camilla looks like her usual self. But it´s working for her, she looks lovely.

Camilla and Anne both looking sharp in well-fitting, coordinated ensembles. Sadly Sophie seems to have lost her hard-won sense of style. Lately she has been favoring over-sized and shapeless blouses, skirts and dresses in blah colors, and even clunky shoes. The hat is just ridiculous, she can't even see out from underneath the too-wide brim, and the frothy boa-type feathers on top resemble a mysterious sea creature that escaped the aquarium and decided to perch on top of her head. The print of the skirt looks like it belongs on a chintz sofa. The full dress with fitted bodice on the model looks acceptable, but I'm not sure that would suit Sophie either. Maybe the reduced schedule during lockdown has thrown her off-track. Time to engage a stylist.

    P.S. I'm missing Autumn Phillips.S.M.

Anne's outfit is so strict and forced into the form of orthodox British royal code that it's dead with no life in it. Compare it with Camilla's eternal one-and-only dress style, and you can see that Camilla, older than Anne, is like a fresh breath of air in her lovely, flowing dress that lives. I find Sophie's hat awful, and her skirt would have been better to remain the dress the model is wearing, in particular because the blouse does not work with the skirt. - Ellie

  7. The hats and Anne's sunglasses win the day! Everyone looks great. I love Sophie's skirt, great print. Anne looks good in green.

Where on earth does Princess Anne find such ugly outfits. The style of the dress is old fashioned, the color of the stocking is too light, almost white, wearing gloves with this dress is overdone. In my opinion only the Queen can properly wear gloves. The shoes and bag are ok. The hat looks silly. She should stop wearing these sport sunglasses, they are not appropriate for the occasion.
Camilla is true to herself, the same style of dress, but I like the cream color of her dress and her hat is beautiful. Prince Charles needs a good hair cut. I am not a fan of Sophie's outfit, too much fabric and the length of the skirt is too long, her hat does not look good either.

I love all of the ladies hats. Sophie's outfit looks fun as does the hat, with the Ostrich feathers ;the Queen Mother was a fan of those. The men look quite dapper. Andrew Parker Bowles seems to be cheating off Princess Ann's play book and that is what he does best, a cad .

Camilla is the absolute winner here: what a lovely dress!,
Have a close look at the tissue, wonderfull!
    Ann: oldfashioned, even for her.
    Sophie: skirt and blouse?
Not a good choice for this occasion, but her hat and hair are stunning!

  12. None of the outfits makes special impression on me. It's pitty that Sophie ruined otherwise nice dress with splitting it on skirt which is too big and too long on her and it doesn't make great match with blouse. This time sre the winners men for me.

I love Sophie's skirt very much and maybe even more her hat. The blouse would be nice with a simple pencil skirt or with an A-line skirt,B ecause one flowing thing is enough, for this beautiful voluminous skirt I would choose a simpler top with contours that follow the body (without necessarily being tight). But all in all, very delighting appearance! Anne: This type of green is not really hers. Maybe if she would wear more makeup (that would be also good for the white hat). The dress itself is nice, it is only the colour. Camilla is predictable, yes, but I have no problem with that - she knows what is good for her and avoids what is not good. And her predictable hats are just fabulous for her.

  15. Love what the ladies of the BRF chose to wear to Day 2! The beading detail on Camilla's dress was beautiful. Sophie!!! This is a gorgeous outfit (even though a part of me wishes she had worn the whole dress) and her hat is Ascot perfect. That pearl drop necklace--how I wish that was in my jewelry box! Anne--gorgeous emerald green dress and some saucy netting on her hat--looks fabulous. Shout out to Prince Edward for another great equine tie. Excited to see Day 3!
