Dutch Queen Máxima gave an interview to Matthijs van Nieuwkerk in her office at Huis ten Bosch Palace on the occasion of her fiftieth birthday. The program featuring the interview is a NOS production and will be broadcast on May 17 at 8.33 pm on NPO1 TV channel. The Queen will celebrate her birthday on May 17.

    From top to bottom: love her hair, her smile, the blouse and the colours she's wearing in general. The skirt is to stiff for me personally... SJ

      Agree, SJ. Although I think one shouldn't really wear a wide top on a voluminous skirt like this. But overall, she looks good here.

    Quelle agréable surprise ; ses cheveux ont l'air superbes avec plus de tonicité mais je n'affirmerais pas qu'elle ait des extensions comme certains commentaires le précisent - Ce style de jupe déjà portée ne la flatte pas vraiment car trop évasée pour sa silhouette ; celle du mannequin s'y prête beaucoup mieux ; son corsage dont j'aime beaucoup la couleur est trop ras-du-cou !

    This is not a combination that makes me happy: informal nice skirt with very formal blouse and shoes.
    A choice of one of the other colours in the skirt, more vivacious, would have been better.

    I like the skirt. The color of the top is a good match but the shiny fabric doesn't work with the skirt.

    Wat is ze in de loop van tijd veranderd. Wat een nieuw gebit en hair extensions al niet kunnen doen Ze ziet er beter uit dan 20 jaar geleden. Wie kan dat zeggen ? Hangt natuurlijk wel een prijskaartje aan.

    I love the skirt with all those different ribbons. I agree with someone above that the colour of the blouse should have been different and also less shiny

    Maxima: Blouse and skirt do not fit well. One is casual, the top and shoes are formal. The colors all blend, but the outfit is somehow 'off.' Hair better than normal, makeup, ok.

    I think this outfit is very nice, the blouse picks up some of the colours in the skirt, and balances the solid colour of it with the busy pattern of the skirt.
    The blouse on the model may be nice on it's own, but with the skirt it is way too busy textured and too drab in colour imo.
