World Red Cross Red Crescent Day is celebrated on 8 May each year. On May 05, 2021, Queen Letizia of Spain attended World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2021 event that was held at Spanish Red Cross Education Center in Madrid. The event took place under the slogan “From society to society". Queen Letizia wore a printed midi dress from Zara.

FGS, how does she do it??! Turning a rather "meh" dress on the model into a gorgeous "I absolutely want that!" dress...? And it is not the first time I am amazed but this ability of hers. Had I seen this on Zara's website I would have scrolled past, not thinking twice. But here we have it, looking fabulous on her! Chapeau! In my eyes, the shoes she is wearing it with play an important role in improving the overall look though.... Well done again, Your Majesty!

حذفI think the same. She is a designer's dream. I agree that any other shoe color would not work. Those she chose are perfect. Her floral earrings echo the floral print of the dress.

Actually I don't like the dress, the pattern isn't varied or delicate enough not to look like a dated window curtain to me.
ردحذفAlso I prefer a full lining or a more defined reason for a short lining, such as a trim or ruffle at the break into sheer. The dress looks cheap to me.
The color palette suits the Queen well.
I agree with you. I find this dress rather meh.
حذفI have never been a fan of an overlay that´s much longer than the lining. It usually ends up looking sloppy and weird, especially if also featuring an uneven hem. Likewise, the part-way lining in the bodice looks more like a singlet showing through than an intended sheer effect.
The delicate floral patterns in dresses such as this *need* the lining to really work. If not lined, the pattern gets lost against the silhouette of legs or other backgrounds showing through.
The shoes are a missmatch in my view, both in colour and in style. I think she needed a more delicate shoe to match the floaty, delicate dress. As an alternative, I think a pairing with casual flats would have worked with this dress, though probably not for this occasion.
Lovely spring outfit--a little nervous after the first photos that the full scale look wouldn't match the top but better in full photo. The shoes are fabulous--might be just what I need for middle son's wedding!
