CM

    2. "I hope that she realises she is the centre ...". What a rude comment on such a beautiful day? She made a very lovely comment, she feels lucky to have them in her life. I understand that she can not be happier.

@Gail I agree. A mother is the center of the family and their world. Sofia has a very beautiful family. Her heart must feel very full. ~d

    5. Caroline,
"I hope she realises she is the centre of THEIR world too".
I thought that was a lovely comment by Gail. I think you misread it.

    6. It is the "I hope she knows", It suggests that she might not know it.

Of course Sofia knows, they both know. She gave birth to three wonderful sons and she is a great mother. Sofia and Carl Philip make a great team. And I am pretty sure they know how lucky they are to have found each other.

Things like this always confuse me, as Carl-Gustaf and Silvia clearly made a statement in October 2019 that the children of Carl-Philip and Madeleine are not princes or princesses. Only the children of Victoria and Daniel are. So, Sofia has one prince. - Ellie

All the children are still princes/princesses and members of the royal family but Estelle and Oscar are the only one who is HRH.

    3. Princes of her heart, they surely are. It's a way of talking. She is full of love for them. She met a prince and now has three little princes with him. What a loving comment she has made. And by the way, they are grand children of a King...

    4. Her children still have the title of Prince - they are just not HRHs.

From the Swedish Royal website "In accordance with The King's decision of 7 October 2019 on changes to the Royal House, Prince Julian is a member of the Royal Family. However, The Prince will not be a member of the Royal House, and will thus not receive the rank of Royal Highness."

Anon 11:27. They are always princes but not their HRH (in Sweden HKH) anymore . They belong to the royal family, but not to the royal court. The same with Madeleine's children, one prince and two princesses. This issue has been written here many times. Only Victoria's children are HRH.

Prince and Princess are a kind of honorary titels and all the grandchildren of the king have them, including Madeleine´s. They are however not Her/His Royal Highness, a formal titel for members of the Royal Family only.

    7. They are princes but not HRH. Same for Mads' kids.

They are not part of the Royal House and those children are therefore no longer subject to royal duties. They are still, of course part of the royal family and they have their titles.

And even if they haven't have any official titles, Sofia could call them her princes. - just like we all could call our children princes and princesses. -Siri

No, the children of Carl Philip and Madeleine are still Princes and Princesses as well as Dukes and Duchesses. Prince Alexander, Duke of Södermanland, Prince Gabriel, Duke of Dalarna, Prince Julian, Duke of Halland, Princess Leonore, Duchess of Gotland, Prince Nicolas, Duke of Angermanland and Princess Adrienne, Duchess of Blekinge.
What they lost was the title of Royal Highness, Membership of the Royal House, right to an appanage and expectation to carry out royal duties.

Agree! They are a striking little family. Alexander is Carl Philip's mini me. Gabriel has Sofia's eyes, and little Julian may be a mix with features like Sofia but maybe Carl Philip's brown eyes. Beautiful boys!!! Mary

Beautiful pics. Love the simplicity and excitement of another little person added to a family. No, Princess Sofia has four princes. As per the act in 2019, Julian is not an HRH. His brothers and Madeline's children are grandfathered in as they were born before the statement or act was established. And will be for their lifetimes. I am sure all the proper rules were followed. Everyone seems fine with the changes. This enables Carl Philip and Madeline's children much more freedom to be who they want to be in the future. Jane

Hope they are done with having children. And not only them! 3 is more than enough. 8 grandchildren with 3 children of their own (King & Queen), the end of reproduction not yet in sight, is already too much to counteract the overpopulation of the earth. If you extrapolate this extreme increase, you can imagine how it will end globally. I wonder anyway why the royals in particular multiply themselves so much in each new generation? Frieda

Frieda, I am very sorry for you. You just can't hide your hate against Sofia. It doesn't matter that you wrote about other's children too, it is always about Sofia for you. Your comment is the most sad I have ever seen here despite your other mean comments. Even as an opinion your comment is unbelivable. The fact is that people are not getting so many children nowadays, lots of "ordinary" people don't want any children.

    2. Ouch! What a mean comment! If people wish to have children and can afford to have them why do you think it appropriate to criticise? And why single out the Swedish Royal family? From 2 sons, Queen Marguerite of Denmark also has 8 grandchildren ; from three children King Albert and Queen Paola of Belgium have 12. In any case, according to Statistics Sweden, the overall fertility rate in Sweden was 1.7 in 2019 when 2.1 is the number required for a stable population ( I will say thank you to you for sending me to a fascinating article about Sweden to check my figures were correct) Let’s celebrate with this delightful family instead of criticising them.

We can always count on you, Frieda, to ruin a beautiful, lovely, innocent moment. A new baby is born, a moment for celebration, and you find a way to turn it ugly. Many of your comments are offensive and are not constructive. It is a pity you are unable to play well with others. ~d

Love them! Just the way they are. None of my business how many children they have. They can afford it. None of my business when they cut their child's hair. He might like it. Beautiful family. Love the Swedish royal family!!! Jen
