On April 27, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, along with their three daughters Crown Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane attended the final rehearsal of the 2nd The Streamers concert, as part of King's Day held at the palace Noordeinde in The Hague. The royal family get a backstage tour and talked with the technical staff. The date of King's Day marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander, which is April 27.

Amalia's outfit is way overdone and she's still dressed too mature, but Alexia and Ariane finally look age- appropriate. Yay!

حذفRegarding who is who, the eldest is Crown Princess Amalia, the middle child (red/brown hair) is Princess Alexia and the youngest is Princess Ariane.

I'm with you, Denise. I think Alexia is easily the best looking of the three sisters. I love the picture of her and her father laughing. Again, I think that Amalia looks like she could be the mother of the younger two girls, and their outfits seem unusually casual compared to their parents and older sister. Queen Maxima looks wonderful.
حذفI love Maxima's Elie Saab jumpsuit. I would have preferred a different jacket with it. I love Amalia's shoes and clutch. I like her coat, shirt and pants but not sure about the styling for this event. Ariane resembles Eloise in a few of the pictures.

I agree, Amalia looks nice but out of place compared to her casually dressed sisters. While I like Maximas outfit, it seems too much for the event...it seems she and Amalia got a ‘dress up’ memo, while the others got a ‘dress down’ one! But then again I have not really dressed up for over a year due to Covid...so maybe I’d dress in my gladrags at any opportunity too! I thought Ariane looked like her cousin Eloise today too. Nice to see this family together.

I share Denise opinion and i think we are all entitled to express ours. Just because i think one of them is the prettiest it doesnt mean there is a competition.
حذفIt is hard to tell whether this was a formal affair or casual one. The King, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane are definitely dressed for a casual affair. The Queen and Crown Princess Amalia look dressed for a formal affair. So either some people are under-dressed or over-dressed.

I absolutely agree with this, these clothes are so confusing. Like some are dressed up to do something after. And others are dressed down in "I'm going to the mall" clothes of teens. It doesn't seem like they coordinate their outfits like other families do.

حذفMaxima's jumpsuit looks great and she's the perfect person to wear it. If only she hadn't hidden it under that cape-coat or whatever that is. A different style of coat or even a shawl would have been better if she needed a covering.
ردحذفOther than Amalia, the rest of the family including King Willem-Alexander look relaxed and casual. The Kings red trousers are a fun and playful idea.
Amalia is a beautiful girl and I'm sensing that she might be exploring her feelings and ideas about style and image like all young adults do at that age. Perfectly normal during these years of transition physically and mentally to adulthood. She has a nice outfit but it looks quite formal compared to her sisters and fathers more casual look for this fun event.
Really nice to see the whole family happily enjoying a lovely evening!

ردحذفOne thing that has stroke me last years is that the king often seems very unpolished in his style nowadays. Sometimes it gives me the impression he might have drinking problems of some kind...??
