Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the regular church services at St Paul’s Church have moved online and the church itself has been repurposed as a vaccination centre.

  1. Cette couleur rose dans ce manteau structuré avec de grandes poches avantage beaucoup Camilla ; j'aime bien la voir quand elle est de dos - Jolies boucles d'oreilles qu'elle porte très souvent !

  3. Although I really like the colour and cut and whole idea of this pink coat with the underside of the collar and inner collar maroon and i think she looks lovely. I find the workmanship on the coat really bad. I don't know what it is maybe the underlining is not supportive enough or maybe non existent. The sleeves are not hanging properly and the coat hem has been stretched. Also the one pocket appears not to be sewn on straight, maybe it is just the light. Perhaps the fabric is just is too soft for this coat. I just get the feeling that an inexperienced sewer just over pressed or "horrors"ironed the coat instead of just steaming it.
Other than these complaints she looks smashing

I agree, the lining looks faulty. Also, I think a shirt or dress with a round neckline would look better under the coat.

  4. I see nothing amiss with the Duchess's coat, but I am an amateur seamstress, at best. I think she looks lovely. The black gloves and her favorite black boots go well with the dark print of her blouse (or is it a dress?). She always seems delighted to meet with those who are working hard for the benefit of others.

@ Nalerina, I totally agree, this coat has a very strange fit, I don’t know perhaps the ironing? In any case it’s similar to the many others she wears, but I do like the color.

  6. It is rather strange isn't it? So many of her clothes are so exquisitely tailored I often admire them just for that.
It is very easy to fit a string bean like Catherine Duchess of Cambridge you could hang a jute sack with armholes cut out on her and it would look perfect but to tailor a garment for a somewhat fuller bosom and heavier waist and look really perfect is far more difficult. A lot of the Duchess of Cornwalls clothes are really sheer artistry in tailoring and really flatter her so well.
For Debra it is so easy to stretch a garment out of shape while making it simply by ironing it incorrectly on the way. An awful lot of the time it is almost impossible to shrink it back again to look like something.
This coat just does not have the finesse so many of her other clothes have.
It is totally unimportant anyway only to a crazy sewer. What she does is a zillion times more important

  7. I'm certainly not a seamstress so the coat looked fine to me but can see the points you are making when they are pointed out. I think the point is well made about fit, Nalerina, not only for Catherine but also for Crown Princess Mary, Princess Marie, Queen Letizia and others while Queen's Maxima and Mathilde require greater skill in their outfits to look at their best (this is not a suggestion that either is overweight, merely not as skinny as the others named). I like the pink coat with the black accessories but not certain about the giant patch pockets. As said above, her enthusiasm in these visits is what is important.

  8. I often wear clothes that I have made or altered or are vintage. They are so personal. What we forget in fashion critique sometimes is how the garment feels. If this felt like a cozy blanket to get her through the day so be it. Maybe is was a gift. That's really what fashion is about. Great color and great cause. One of my favorite royals.

Very elegant lady. I would never have believed that I would say it one day, but she gained my sympathy for her behavior as a member of the royal family. When I was a teenager, I admired Diana, but now that I have life experience, I appreciate more someone who works without fanfare, dignified and is not complaining. Very well, Camila

That being said, she really had no right to complain, given the history. No one celebrates a homewrecker, which is what she was at the time. I am not getting into anyone else's behavior here. There was plenty of blame to go around. I know what you are insinuating, and the topic should not find its way into every post. ~d

  11. Candy pink is not my favourite colour. So the coat is a no for me.
The boots, yes the boots. They appear to be her second winter skin.
The Lee Hazlewood song made famous by Nancy Sanatra says
"these boots were made for walking "
for the Duchess we could say "these boots were made for WORKING"
