Grand Duchess Maria Teresa turned 65 today. Maria Teresa was born on March 22, 1956 in Havana, Cuba. The Grand Duchess studied politics in Switzerland. There, she met her future spouse Grand Duke Henri. The couple got married in 1981 and have 5 children. On the occasion of the birthday, The Grand Ducal Court released a new photo showing together Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Prince Charles.

    For me, when you cannot look into the eyes a portrait doesnot work.

    The natural photo with little Prince Charles looks nice. The highly photoshopped photo, not so much

      Like two peas in a pod, aren't they? I always said that little Charles is the spitting image of his granma, now that we see them next to each-other it is fully confirmed :-) He is the best birthday present!

    The second photo with the grandchild is very nice. The first is - strange, retouched, so it looks unnatural. The Duchess chose an unsuitable blouse for the official portrait - this blouse would be suitable for some disco parties for 20+

    I've thought before that Charles had Maria Teresa's eyes but only now, seeing them together, do I realize just how much they look alike! And what a lovely picture - grandma & grandson look so happy to be spending time together! :)
