On the morning of March 30, Queen Maxima paid an online working visit to My Second Family (Mijn Tweede Familie). Mijn Tweede Familie works to link unaccompanied minor refugees to a family. Mijn Tweede Familie is the initiative of Sovee, a welfare organization in Utrecht and Gelderland which works for children and young people. Mijn Tweede Familie won an Appeltje van Oranje award last year.

During the online visit, Queen Maxima spoke with Sovee employees, a researcher and various families and refugees. Among other things, the young people spoke about their start in the family, what they are learning and how important a second family is to them, in the absence of their own family in the Netherlands. Families shared what motivates them to take in a new "family member" and what it means for their family.

This is a fashion site Lily, but if you want to say something else be accurate. There is too many fake news already. These are probably French Nikè candles (empire), gold plated with figures made of ebonized bronze

Blouse looks nice. Hair looks horrid, she forgot her brush and self-respect in looking like a queen. Uri

Lovely look from The Queen. I like her beige blouse and even her hair look better than usual. Also good backround and position for the camera 👍

  7. Her top/blouse looks nice.
However I think she looks exhausted or perhaps sick and has dragged herself out of bed in order not to disappoint by missing the meeting.

  8. Why she so neglects her hair is beyond me.

  9. Dear Lili, I will not be replying to you in German so that all readers can appreciate my remarks. Your comment is incredible. The chest of drawers in the background is a superb specimin from the Napleonic period, i.e. around 1810, perhaps slightly later, and I presume that these are “matching” candlesticks. The concept of racisim might be applied to modern art by certain quarters but certainly not to works of art of the period mentioned above. Instead of offering foolish comments, why not admire the exquisite craftsmanship instead????

  11. With the craftsmanship they definitely have
    Law .
But only because something is beautiful, I think
that it represents a time when "blacks"
Were slaves. That just made me think
made and I wanted to know if other readers
    also think about it.

In that time white people were also made slaves,
We cannot make history undone, so stop your nonsense!

@Lili from Lily T. Stop this nonsense. We are aware now of your political correctness and your holier-than -the -popeness, as we say in Dutch.
