Queen Margrethe is spending her winter holiday this year at the Royal Hunting Lodge (Jagtejendommen) in Trend, and from the coniferous forest in Vesthimmerland, the Queen sent spring greetings and also shared some photos. Trend is a town in North Jutland (Nordjylland). The Royal Hunting Lodge in Trend has an area of 800 decares and is located in a forestland. Prince Henrik's inheritance royal dog Tillia, who is the Queen's best and closest friend, accompanies the Queen.

In her greeting message, the Queen says: "The first signs of spring have begun to appear in the forest floor, on shrubs and trees and in small and large gardens around the country. The Danish nature is something very special, and we should all be happy about that. In the past year, nature has been a free space for many of us, and we have experienced Denmark in a new way. In the time to come, we must continue to live with restrictions, but in more than one sense, we are facing brighter times. Here from Trend, I send the warmest spring greetings to everyone."

  1. Lovely initiative from the queen to go there. I don't understand why she is wearing such wide pants, I see no reason for going that size.

  5. A real place of longing. Wonderful shots that have captured nature in the best possible way.
The queen with a rural look in graduated matte green tones looks enterprising, yet posh and elegant. Just beautiful.

  6. Always a joy to see Queen Margrethe with her guaranteed smile.
She appears to be enjoying a "dress-down" vacation.
Garments that are cosy and warm seem to be her choice.
Nice words of encouragement for 2021 from the Queen.
AND how nice and refreshing to read comments on NewMyRoyals that are not aimed at the good, bad and ugly of a mixed nationality, married couple who live in California.
Over 100 comments from our fellow bloggers on this couple, some good, some bad and some very ugly.
Amongst the 100 or so comments, hardly a word about fashion.

  7. I love Queen Margrethe and her companion, Tillia, who seems to be sniffing something good. Truffles, maybe? The queen looks comfortable and happy. As someone near her age, I can attest to the desire for looser more comfortable clothes.

  9. Another lady it is always cheering to see. Can't really find much positive to say about the outfit--the jacket is useful and serviceable? ---but she looks well and happy which is the main thing.
