  1. I'm not a fan of the Queen's skirt, but she looks very stylish in spite of it. I love her "shoestring" earrings. They are whimsical and appropriate for a sports award event. The lady standing and seated next to Letizia looks nice too, and coordinates with the queen with her skirt and sweater, and her t-strap shoes, which I love.

    1. More or less the same for me, except that I am not even a fan of the shoestring earrings, although I can understand the reasons why she is wearing them. If they made some people happy so far so good.

I agree on the skirt. I think it's just too much fabric for her slender frame.
      Otherwise, she looks fine.

Oh I love this on her. The skirt is a great fit, with an interesting cut, and I think the simple black top is perfect. I like the earrings too. They add a touch of colour and a quirky shape. (V.M.)

  4. Beautiful look. I like that she wore a simple black top to let the skirt shine, as it is gorgeous. Plus, those earrings are fantastic!

Pictures 2 and 3, a masterclass in posture. The queen looks fab as always. The voluminous skirt can be worn for a multitude of events. The shoe string earrings are unusual but appropriate for a sports related event.

She looks fab from knee up. Pleated skirt and uneven hem is one thing too much. Ladyofthemanor.

I don't think it's possible for Letizia to look unpolished or unattractive. But I do find the skirt too much of a good thing - too long, too voluminous, too light in color. Everyone knows that dark colors make one appear smaller and light colors make one appear larger. The black top appears tiny in comparison to the champagne-colored drapery of the skirt, making the swirls of fabric overwhelming. Also don't like the way the pleats expand and flatten near the bottom. Needed something like a wide, statement belt to add some interest. Skirt would be more appropriate for evening wear with a more elaborate light-colored top (perhaps jewel- or sequin-embellished) along with a darker-colored belt. Earring design is cute, but the color of the stones doesn't match what she's wearing, they hit an off-note for me. S.M.
