Lovely “ton-sur-ton”, with even a streak of grey hair!

  2. Lovely business look for Letizia, but I do wish she would put her arms in the sleeves of the coat (or wear a cape). I know this is a common practice, but it just bothers me ;)

    1. I agree. She seemed to be having problems keeping the coat on her shoulders in a couple of photos. I really do not understand the trend of wearing a coat as a cape. However, the coat goes very well with the rest of her outfit, and Letizia looks fabulous, as always.

What style, what taste, what elegance! My only quibble is that if trousers have belt loops, then a belt should be worn.

Very nice outfit, and I love the streak of gray, it looks almost like a headband. ~Laurel~

She looks unkept- no belt, bow undone and coat not on. Really don't understand why this is a 'look'.

I usually like a belt if there are belt loops, but not if the color of the belt is not going to match the outfit. Then it becomes a distraction. There is no rule about the tie. The nice thing about the tie is the versatility. It can be tied in different positions, or not at all. The picture of Letizia shown with the Hugo Boss blouse is a different blouse with a thicker tie than the one she is wearing here. Coats can be worn over the shoulder and should be when it works with the silhouette of the coat and weather permits. It is chic and gives the outfit different look.

Another good and effortless look from the Queen. Grey and cream look so nice together. I also love the streak of gray in her hair. I hope she will keep it, won't cover it up.
But I also dislike when coat is worn on the shoulders with the sleeves uselessly hanging. If its too warm to put coat on properly, then why wear it. Take a shawl or cape on your shoulders to keep you warm outdoors.

  8. I love this look--the trousers are great and look so elegant with the heels compared to the flat shoes she was wearing earlier in the week. In the first photo, she looks frozen and my reaction is "put your coat on properly!!" The cream and grey combo is not one I would immediately think of but looks really good.

    2. I am jealous, Angie. I dream of 12 or 14 degrees. In Scotland today it is 2 degrees! I take your point that she is, therefore, certainly not feeling the cold! However, I still like a coat worn properly or a cape or shawl if that's preferred.
