  4. That's a great foto. Looks as if they're having real fun.
The princess is a beauty. Her smile reminds me a bit of Abba's Annafrieda's, which was also always nice to see.

Everything under the sun from psychic health, politics, to fun stuff...what ever comes up. The podcast are made by two sisters where one of them are bipolar, the other one a comedian. And both work in radio and television. They have their own baggage since their mother and brother committed suicide. They say about their podcast no-one should be alone on Sunday, so you are welcome to brunch and to be a part of the family and they invite different people like comedian, actors, politicians, athletes, musicians. Even the assistant director of the Norwegian directorate of health have been there. They talk about everything with a lot of fun and comic relief.

I can really see the resemblance to her daughter Princess Ingrid in this photo.

Agree. Ingrid has her father's coloring but her face shape and expressions resemble her mother.

Great, cheery photo. I like the blouse.

  10. A little bit of what was talked about. Forgive the bad english. When Crown Princess Mette-Marit (47) visited the P3 program "The Kåss Furuseths", she opened up about her latest "hangups" (cowboy TV, baking and ice bathing), but also about serious things. For occasional stories about broken tailbones and the dating tips she gave to Else Kåss Furuseth, they also talked about heavier topics - including the hard feelings that the Crown Princess felt before - and those that she can still feel today. - Poor me! It is 25 years since Mette-Marit met Haakon for the first time at the Quart Festival in Kristiansand, but it was not until they again found each other at the same festival three years later, they fell in love. - It was just completely crazy! I was just so in love that I did not know what to do. I fell completely for him. But it was not the easiest man to fall head over heels for. The man was accompanied by a very inquisitive look from an entire country. She got a good look at that when they announced their engagement in December 2001. In a formal suit that she did not feel completely comfortable in, the couple met the press. Who could think of throwing me on that stage in front of the wolves? In a way, I get so hurt by the person I was then. I felt very sorry for myself there, she says, a little serious and a little humorous. I get nauseous thinking about the past even 20 years later, she has not forgotten the bad times. - There are some periods in life, perhaps especially the first phase of me and Haakon, which I still can not think of without having to throw up. Because it was so tough. There was an enormous amount of pressure, and I got there without any experience of it. It's not just thinking about what makes her nauseous. Seeing it is even worse. - There are a number of TV programs that have been shown recently about the royal family, where there are features with me and Haakon at the very beginning, and I can not watch it. - Did you think people were bad? Those are my words, then, I think people were a little mean says Else and aims at the time in the early 2000s. - I do not think that people really want to be mean, people just want to have something to talk about. All the pressure and attention led to Mette-Marit being very ashamed at this time. - It's a terrible feeling. I have actually promised myself that after that period I would never feel ashamed. There is nothing that will make me feel like I'm not good enough in one way or another. But she has not managed to keep that promise. Shame around the disease even though the Crown Princess has managed to bury the feeling of shame in most cases, it is especially in some areas that she quickly feels the stingy feeling. - I think I'm a little ashamed that I'm sick. Or, I know I'm pretty much ashamed of it. Because after I was sick and got a diagnosis, there is something very painful about the fact that I can not be the one that everyone expects, and not have the work capacity that I had before..

  11. Continuation.. It was in 2018 that she was diagnosed with chronic pulmonary fibrosis, after several years of ailments. One becomes tired and short of breath from the chronic disease. - One of the worst things is that I can not ski in the same way as before. I was so strong, I went on ski's with both kids in a sled behind me. I just so intensely loved getting things done and being out in nature. The fact that fellow hikers have to go slower because of her is not something she likes to think about. Do you feel the pressure from outside, to deliver? - It's not like people have pressure on me, it's more that I have an expectation of how I should be. It is not often that I feel so much shame anymore, because I have worked quite a lot with that feeling of shame and getting rid of it, but this is exactly what I feel a little ashamed of, she answers honestly. The Crown Princess not only feels the pressure of delivery, she also feels the pressure to be "perfect". - All the time. Of course I do! But I'm not perfect, she says and laughs gently. There is pressure to be the perfect mother, a perfect princess and to have a perfect life she knows most. But it is not the people who put the pressure on her. - It is the critical gaze one has on oneself, which one must resist and fight against. Performance pressure and shame are both things that can affect people's mental health. Mental health is a topic in which the Crown Princess is strongly involved. For both Else and Mette-Marit have experienced losing someone close to suicide. The Crown Princess has clear thoughts about what it takes for us to prevent this from happening. - I think maybe we need to dare to be braver in the conversations we have with those around us. This is perhaps one of the most important things. And then I think it's easy to think, 'But it's probably going well,' right? But it is not certain that it does. There are little things every day that remind her of the late Ari Behn, such as when she was getting ready for brunch. - It is so strange when you lose someone who is close to you and who is very important to you. Today I thought: "Today I have to put on my fancy dress, because every day is a party, and you are a jewel."(word by Ari) Then I thought about it, and then I thought about Ari. It is incredibly painful when someone you are very fond of, does not see any hope anymore. I think we just have to try to be good fellow human beings there for each other, and then I think it's important to get rid of shame. When life is a bit awkward, we must dare to talk about it, says Mette-Marit. This is something she thinks many people struggle with. - Especially today when everything shall be so perfect and successful. Just saying, "It's not always so good." I think that is important. Even when the Crown Princess talks about heavy things, it does not take long before the laughter and smile are back. But she admits that her mood lately has been a little worse than usual. And when Mette-Marit told Haakon and the children that she would sacrifice both Mother's Day and Valentine's Day to come to brunch at Else's, they did not protest significantly. - They are so happy to get this sour lady out of the house! I've been so angry lately, so I think it was good for them to get a break, she says and laughs well. As with most others, it is the coronary restrictions that put a damper on the mood. - Like many others during this period, I am really bored. I think many feel that life is a bit on hold, says Mette-Marit. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess, who usually live busy lives on their own, have now got the luxury of having much more quality time on the couch together. But now even that has become too much of a good thing. For the monotonous life has even gone beyond the otherwise flirtatious tone of the couple. - Well, a year after the corona, I do not know if we are as flirtatious as we were a year ago, she says and laughs once more
