King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia took part in an online memorial ceremony

Stockholm's Great Synagogue. International Day of Remembrance for Holocaust Victims
January 27 is the International Day of Remembrance for Holocaust Victims. On the occasion of the day, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia took part in an online memorial ceremony that took place at Stockholm's Great Synagogue. The online ceremony began with the King and Queen laying stones at the memorial, which is located next to the synagogue. In Jewish tradition, it is common to lay stones, which, unlike flowers, are eternal, on or near a grave to honor the dead. The stones that the King and Queen laid down were taken from Solliden.

  1. Doesn't look to be online, is it?

I believe it means that the memorial service inside the synagogue was streamed online. what we see in this video is only the laying of the stones ceremony which took place at the memorial outside the synagogue. Very poignant that the King and Queen went to pay their respects in person!

Not the time to start up the mask argument. This is about the Holocaust.

    1. I understand your point of course, however is it real fur ? I am not sufficiently expert to judge about it.
What are you suggesting for fur coats acquired decades ago? Throw them away? I have a fur jacket which is more than 30 years old but in perfect state. I no longer wear it, so what should I do? It would not change the issue if it were worn by somebody else... I heard that huge mink breeding farms were recently destroyed in Denmark because suspected of being contaminated by covid and they could be vectors,
Ok I hope they will not be reactivated, but new capacity is still being built elsewhere in the world (sorry we have so little to discuss about fashion).
I would blame queen Silvia if she has acquired it recently, yes indeed.

Mina, what about animals brought up for "food"? I've survived quite nicely for almost 40 years without eating a scrap of meat.

What do Silvia's father's actions have to do with Silvia? I think she has handled herself well after that information came out.

Also, people in pre-WWII Germany didn't know where things were headed under Hitler, just like people right now are being duped by this exaggerated Covid nonsense.

And if Silvia or anyone else wears an old fur coat (from back when lots of people did so), let her - so what. It's not like she's buying a "fresh" new fur coat every six months.

@ Laurel While I agree with your statements regarding fur, please stop commenting about COVID. Your beliefs are harmful and untrue. This has been expressed to you and one other person in particular on numerous occasions. You could have made your comment without injecting the last part of your sentence. Twitter, Facebook and YouTube all block posts or ban users for misinformation. The kinds of statements you and a few others make fall under that category. I am requesting once more that you stick with fashion and stop climbing on your soapbox.

@Helen Can you not ban this misinformation? Maybe you could explain where you draw the line?

Anon, 5:56am - Not harmful and not untrue. You're on your "soapbox" right now, aren't you? Did you ever consider that you might be wrong? Clade X, Event201. Just sayin'. You're welcome. Good-bye. ~Laurel~

    Laurel,
How can you read these comments when you are obviously so blind?
Sorry, not used to be so nasty, but your comment is absolutely beyond limits!
