The Royal Train Tour is a tradition started by Queen Victoria, who became the first monarch to travel by train in June 1842. Queen Elizabeth has made regular use of the current royal train, which was formed in 1977 for her Silver Jubilee. She invited the newly-married Duchess of Sussex to travel to Cheshire with her on it in 2018. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also used the train in recent years.

Yesterday evening, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge departed on the Royal Train at London Euston Station, to support communities across England, Scotland, and Wales. Before departing, The Duke and Duchess met with inspiring transport workers who have gone out of their way to help people feel safe and secure throughout this difficult year.

  1. Ce style de manteau est très bien porté par Kate peu importe la couleur ; très jolies bottes à talon très fin !

  3. This is a wonderful idea of the two of them. And: they both look great!
I for one would love to take a ride on this train (is this correct english??), I also would love to take the "Orient Express", but I've learned from Agatha Christie that there will be terrible things going on, so I prefer the tube in my hometown ;-)

      You guessed right.
I think what you said can explain well some unpleasant comments being made about Beatrice, Amalia and Kate.

  6. I think it is great that the Duchess seems to "rewear" some of her old coats (which look and fit great!). I think that's how it should be. It would have sent the wrong message for this engagement if she hadn't.

  7. Love both the coats but the blue one is my favourite. It gives a beautiful streamlined silhouette and looks warm and cosy--it's bitterly cold in Scotland today. Lovely to see them on this tour and what a great idea

I think both her coats are a wrong model for her body type. She is slim and tall. These tight coats make her look like a stick. Her hair style increase the effect.

I thought the Euston line went to Glasgow and the Kings Cross line went to Edinburgh; having travelled on the line numerous times; there is great scenery along the line. The coats look nice; it is a pity they didn't give Kate's coat a different colour collar. It is nice to see the piper at the station; so Scottish.

Catherine has found a very personal style that suits her very well, she looks incredibly sophisticated on these well tailored coats, love both, they fit her like glove and the accessories are just perfectly chosen with a little color and detail but nothing overdone.
The hair is fabulous... long gone are those dress/coats... she looks superb!
