  1. Beautiful setting. Love her lip color. The color of the blouse isn't my favorite but it looks good with Meghan's coloring.

  2. Lovely blouse (or dress?). Meghan has a very good taste in selecting the right clothing. Love her make-up. Gives a glow to her face. She is supporting important causes. But that does not make her in my opinion an annual heroe.

    1. I actually think this blouse is a little to large at the shoulders. It makes her look slightly bulky, which she isn't. Additionally the tie neck detail is a little sad. It just hangs there.

Her skin is beautiful though and the lavender makes a stunning background.

Btw, I don't think the Duchess was featured to receive recognition as an "annual hero," but rather a presenter to highlight the annual heroes.

    4. Sorry Anonymous 12/14/20, 7:56 PM but I don't see the Duchess as wanting to be an annual hero.
Her objective, I believe, was to make certain that the real heroes were not lost in the crowd.
The full interview is available if you do some hunting around on the net.
Fashion wise .......... the colour co-ordination with the setting, her make up and blouse is superb. Beautiful image.

  3. Meghan looks good. I'm noticing a change in her make-up selection. That style of blouse with a pleated neck and a neck tie seems to be trendy as we've seen a few royals recently wear similar styles. She wears it well. It's a nice colour of itself but I'd have liked a stronger colour on her. Nice to see her.

  4. She wants to be relevant and in the spotlight. The setting is nice and so is her make up. I don't care for the blouse at all. I wonder if Helen is going to post their Xmas foto, is kind of different.

  7. Very strange outing and outfit. Hair very unflattering and the same goes for the granny blouse in colour" scarf-skin umber" Frieda

  8. It is good to see the Duchess again. Her makeup is impeccable, and her lip color is compatible to the pinkish color of her blouse. Without seeing her a full view, it's difficult to comment on what she is wearing.

  9. A very nice, simple, elegant look and perfect for her colouring. I like how the lipstick really picks up the colour of the blouse. (V.M.)

    1. Is that a question for us? If so we just don’t know, but more importantly why would you think she is by looking at a picture of her face? I wonder if you go around questioning women about such personal issues. SMH¡!!

    2. Stop gossipping about personal issues please.

      Delete
    3. Gee Anon 8:35 - maybe because her face looks a little fuller? Like it did when she was pregnant with Archie.

Why would you assume that because someone asks a question anonymously on a blog that they go round randomly asking women if they're pregnant? Feel free to keep SYH...

Asking a question isn't gossiping - and whether Meghan is or isnt pregnant is not personal to anyone here.

  13. That top is awful, what is that thing hanging from her neck? Plus, the pleating is awkward. I don't find the makeup to be the most flattering colors for her. But the background is beautiful.

  14. Cette couleur lilas très claire flatte beaucoup son teint de brune ; son rouge à lèvres rose soutenu nous offre des lèvres pulpeuses – Très fines ses clous d’oreilles Zoraida ; j’adore !

  15. Color harmony too overwhelming , the whole arrangement looks like an artefact. Colour of the blouse is nice, but with those lilac flowers in the background it is too much. The folds spreading from the neckline downwards make the blouse look awkward. - Ponytail would be great for her, but the side fringes (always evoking an unkempt state especially in this length) ruin the hairstyle and the overall impression for me. 16. Blouse - good. I don't like makeup. I think they shouldn't use their royal titles. However, the Sussexes have resigned from their royal role and are not acting in the Queen's name. As US citizens, they should use a last name. What is it like? Mrs. Windsor - Mountbatten or?

    2. I agree with you regarding their titles. Unfortunately, the Queen has not taken their titles, so they can still use them. It is a decision she may regret...time will tell. As far as fashion, the blouse is nice, but the weird color of lipstick and strands of hair are not very flattering on her.

    3. I would like to know comentary from Cherry Blossom.
I guess she doesn't agree with me. I think that Sussexes titles are their ticket among American celebrities and to contracts with Netflix et al. What would they mean without titles? Would anyone give a contract for millions to an unknown actress from a minor series? Not.
In my opinion, royal titles should serve the crown, the British people and represent them. They should not be a means of someone's individual success no matter what the area.
In my country aristocratic titles are not used more than one hundred years. I consider it would be strange and ridiculous that Americans with their republic tradition are so obsessed by these titles. I have academic title, but I don't use it outside of my profession.

      Delete
    4. I agree with you. Without that title or royal association neither netflix or spotify would give either of them a glance. So let's be honest and stop kidding ourselves. Its unfortunate in this world status is everything and gets doors open. Most average american don't know or care about them. The PR and left friendly magazines and TV coverages make them look relevant but outside of the golden tower of santa Barbara people aren't concerned and they're just like other celebrity.

    5. This has been addressed before, many times. Their titles are not recognized in the US. No one here is going to bow or curtsy to them. They are just Harry and Meghan. American's don't bow or curtsy to royalty from any country unless they are doing so by their own choice, not due to any protocol, especially on American soil. I find it hard to imagine that there are many people that don't know who they are, whether their titles are used or not. I suspect that the entities contracting with them are making the decision to use their titles. It is proper, as they are still known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It is just my opinion, but I think if they were hung up on titles, they would have decided to let Archie have a title at birth.

As for the comment about American's being obsessed by titles, I beg to differ. This country was founded by people that left England to get away from that very thing so they could enjoy freedoms that the crown did not allow them to have. We look from afar, we enjoy the show so to speak, but American's would not support the excesses that one family has when so many have so little. We are also more progressive, and while traditions being upheld are a very good thing, we do have difficulty with the outdated lifestyle so many royals live. So, obsessed, no. Interested, fascinated, intrigued, yes. The simple fact that their every breath is analyzed and critiqued is way too much. You can keep it. I am very happy being a spectator and enjoy learning about the royal families the world over.

MM and Harry are still duke and duchess until further notice from the queen.
I don't see the argument about the use of their titles.
I have been busy and 3 members of my close family have had COVID. I am still physically strong and healthy , but can't say the same about my mental state, it's easy to feel sad, angry and despondent when dealing with this horrific pandemic.
Thank God still working and doing my best. I have not visited this blog for a while, so if I don't get a chance to enter, just want to wish you a wonderful Holiday Season and may the new year bring you love and health.

I always stop and read your comments on this blog and another "Royal" blog where you write in French. 20. She looks pregnant, not a fan of the blouse or the color. Good photo editing to make her appear 'soft/fuzzy/'. It is easy to do in photo shop, even to the point of making lipstick same or nearly same shade as flowers. Her hair, as usual is messy, with strands hanging around her face. Blouse makes her look really wide somehow.

  21. Anonymous @ 4:07 AM, agree a 100 % with your very well articulated response.
At this point I try not to comment about MM post just because is tiring to read over and over how she is always judged and measured to a different standard, they don't say anything about taking the titles away ( a ridiculous concept anyway) from other royals that aren't working for the crown on regular basis, Madeleine, Maria Louise, Victoria, Eugenie etc., is simply a personal bias towards this woman.
Perhaps because she is a woman of color, or not born wealthy, or independent but most of all because she is American? I find it offensive how some of you make rude and uninformed comments about an entire nation, I have never dared to disrespect British, German, French or any other nationality on this blog.
So Anonymous @ 11:34, you should talk less about your supposed "academics" and show some courtesy when referring to people of a country that you seem to know nothing about.

  22. This ensemble isn't flattering to her, imo. Makes her look puffy. Maybe it's the shine to the makeup, maybe it's the hair and the high neck, but I think it's a miss.

  23. H&M are famous because of who they are. In America famous people are always privy to business opportunities that raise their profile and are advantageous to entity they represent. Others like Bill Gates have their own foundation and are asked their opinions on topics that have nothing to do with their jobs. America offers a new opportunity to anyone who wants to take advantage of it with their own work. The Sussexes are doing just that. No extended family enjoys the use of a privileged lifestyle in multiple castles on the taxpayers dollar in perpetuity. M.

  24. After watching the video I must say that the pictures don’t make her justice. She looks very attractive, I don’t see any visible signs of injections or surgeries, like some mention above, I do see excellent makeup and very good filters. She is an excellent speaker, her diction is so on point, and her cadence is soothing . I am not about to argue with the keyboard warriors about her rights and wrongs, I am just commenting on this particular instance.

  26. “Gee” anonymous @ 12:27 , yes I still think that to speculate about a woman’s pregnancy is rude, in person would be considered bad manners, in writing is just bad form, not to mention that is none of your business. When, and if this couple ( or any other) are blessed with a pregnancy, they would let us know... maybe, perhaps and if they want to.

    ReplyDelete
  27. For those that are speculating on whether Meghan is pregnant or not, just stop. It would be rude to walk up to any woman and ask her if she was pregnant. Imagine if she wasn't! It is a bad habit to get into. If you feel her face has extra fullness, think for a moment. She could be carrying extra weight from the pregnancy that she recently miscarried. We don't know how far along she was into her pregnancy. Try being sensitive instead of going straight to letting your imagination get away with you.

Saying the blouse looks too big is ridiculous. The seams are visible. It fits perfectly at the shoulders. There is no photoshop to alter the color of her lipstick. Good grief! These are screen grabs of a video. For the few who may not know this, lipstick comes in thousands of colors, and those colors can be mixed together to make even more colors! No photoshop needed. Why the desperate attempts to find something to criticize? If you are bored, pull weeds, do a Sudoku, write a letter, call a friend, dust your knick-knacks...

    1. Oh please ! stop with the higher than thou mentality ! If people put themselves out into the public domain, people will serve up their opinions ! We don't all have to jump on the same bandwagon, and see nothing but perfection ! Meghan has chosen to put herself out there, and as such, we will comment on her style ! That's me off to do a Sudoku ! After I've dusted my knick-knacks! Spoken to a friend ! Written a letter! Finally, got a grip of those pesky weeds ! Ana

  30. Hello Cherry Blossom of NewMyRoyals.
Maybe I gave the wrong impression. I was not referring to a blog as such but to our fellow bloggers of NewMyRoyals. I was suggesting that some might like to take a look at the cultural differences between an American woman and a European woman. I am of African, colonial, European origin.
As part of my work, I had to spend one year in America and it gave me the chance to see the great cultural and other differences between the two. And there is a lot. I think much of the criticism of the Duchess of Sussex is based on the fact that people are judging her on the behaviour of a European woman.
And then to have a union/marriage between an American person and a British person, well, then, that’s a subject for another day.
The newly married Sussex couple have got a great cultural challenge to surmount but I think it should work as they both appear to be mature, brave young people with positive objectives.
