Queen Silvia gave an interview to Vårdfokus, which is published as the magazine of Vårdförbundet (The Swedish Association of Health Professionals). The interview was done in October at Stockholm Royal Palace. In the interview, The Queen told how she chose nurses as her closest employees when she became queen. The Queen also spoke about her mother's dementia.

The Queen said that nurses are her closest employees since the beginning of 1980s and for more than 20 years and that nurses have supported her in shaping her role as The Queen. On behalf of her entire family, The Queen thanked everyone who works in health care and care for the elderly for their fantastic efforts, which also continued during the pandemic.

Vårdfokus is a paper magazine, an independent position within the Health Care Federation.Vårdfokus is the central source of news for those interested in matters relating to the four-member groups of the Healthcare Association which include legitimate nurses, x-ray nurses, midwives.

  1. The Queen looks a little pale, though in photo's it is difficult to see the actual coloring of the person. Hope she is well.

  2. As always, Queen Silvia is lovely. Her dress is a beautiful shade of blue, and her wrap and jewelry coordinate with it perfectly. Healthcare workers, particularly nurses, deserve our utmost respect and support.
