I bet Maxima is used to reading the comments about her hair on this site.
    Are split ends over?
Has she finally found a good hairstylist?
    Do hope so.
Fashion wise, ok for the upper part and shoes, but her skirt is awful.
It looks like a blanket or a carpet pattern and too much fabric does not help either.

    1. I thought the same thing regarding the skirt. It reminds me of my great-grandmothers quilt. Maybe I would drape it over a sofa or chair, but I certainly would never wear it.

    2. You forgot about the horrible earrings.

    3. I really was surprised to find myself liking the skirt, because I tend to hate garments with bold horizontal stripes. I think what makes it work for me is that the stripes are of varied widths, and largely in colors that harmonize well with Maxima’s blouse, shoes, purse, and even her blonde hair.

    4. The earrings are soigné!

      @ Renee
      Yes, you are right.
Anyway, Maxima' s smile is so nice and her work so well done that I'm trying to forget even her worst outfits and her bad hair days!

  2. She looks quite good here! An updo and understated gold earrings would have been nice for a daytime award ceremony, but overall I think Maxima’s look is very attractive and put-together.

  5. Very nice look for Queen Maxima.

  6. Not too bad, although the blouse is a bit too voluminous for this skirt. And always the shiny pantyhose and the horrible hair, but I have seen worse.

    1. What do you find horrible about the hair?

  7. The mask is plain and does not quite work with the outfit, even though it has shades from the skirt. Everything coordinates except the earrings and the horrible hair. The blouse is rather baggy, a more fitted top would have worked better to showcase the skirt.

  8. The blouse gives her outfit a Bohemian vibe. Something more structured would have probably have suited her better. The cut of the skirt is very good on her. She does not have the figure for fitted skirts anymore. An a-line gives her a waist, and we see her nice legs. The skirt disguises any figure flaws. She should be able to pull out a lot of colors from the skirt going forward, so new blouses and shoes will give her many new outfits. I do wish she would banish those shiny pantyhose. If she feels the need to wear stockings, we should not be able to detect them.

  9. For Maxima I change my standards, so, for her not bad.
As often said here: or a wide top, or a wide skirt, but not both so much volume.
Why do we all know this and she nót??

  10. Máxima doesn’t look her best with voluminous outfits, this could have worked somehow if one of the pieces was tailored , this way it looks ballooned and unflattering. She continues to choose these mustard colors that don’t do her any favors, but if she loves it, it could easily be done without wearing the entire Pantone of the color. I don’t dislike the pieces separately but they aren’t well combined and the whole ensamble looks overdone and inelegant.

  11. I find the color of the blouse to be unflattering with the Queen's skin and hair color, but her 1000-watt smile and intelligence always trumps her wardrobe choices--good or bad.

    1. I think as anon11:26. She went for a bohemian style, ok, then it can be fully so. The earrings are however too big. She may just have had a slight hair cut, still in her style. I think that criticism about the stockings are exaggerated. Overall I like it.

  13. Maxima carries this outfit rather well. Whereas horizontal stripes below the waist might broaden most, here she diffuses it with her tall height and bold stature. The skirt flares nicely and the earth tones suit her well. The blouse also has nice soft flows and the slight sheen adds a bit of subdued glam. I think she looks fine.

  14. Really like the skirt. Do not like the blouse with it. Its Natan of course, wish she would stop buying from him. Overall, its an improvement from last week.

  15. I think this is lovely. The colours work beautifully together, and both the skirt and blouse are well-fitting and interesting. I particularly like the folkloric feel of the swirly skirt. Q. Max has the stature to carry this off well. (V.M.)

  17. At a height of 5’10” and a size 6, Queen Máxima can get away with wearing horizontal stripes!

  18. This blouse is horrible, I can't figure out if it is just too big or it is just gathered and bunched up poorly. At least the skirt looks like it fits better, not my favorite print however. Just all around not a good look. Ugh.

  20. Love the skirt and blouse seperately. Together it makes Máxima pompous. Gorgeous earrings.

  21. Surprised that I actually quite like this outfit. Like Jane Chantal I generally do not like horizontal stripes, even ion the slimmest wearer but this works for me with the plain blouse. Shoes are fab.
