The museum is located in the former Plague, Dol, and Leproos House in Haarlem. The collection is built up in a hall complex around the original dolcel. The visitors can explore the versatility of the mind in an interactive way. The ideas of classical scientists, philosophers and artists such as Freud and Buddha are displayed, as well as contemporary thinkers such as physician-researcher Machteld Huber. In addition, art works by rapper and actor Willem de Bruin, who had a mental depression, as well as Yayoi Kusama and Tracey Emin, can be seen.

  2. Strands of hair really won't lie flat huh? Fashion wise, very elegant lace dress.

  3. Another overall great look for Maxima! Chic hat and matching gloves and clutch coordinated with the dress, which has a nice silhouette -- BUT imo the dress would look better if the bodice were done in the bright yellow and the lower portion in black. Bright colors draw attention, and few women's figures look their best with attention concentrated on the lower 2/3s of the body.

Btw, I applaud Maxima for gamely enduring a visit to that particular exhibition, and hope she was able to imbibe a well-deserved stiff drink afterward...

  4. This is where I believe she looks best, a larger hat that covers her hair (I like the asymmetrical style) and a structured dress. The structure on the dresses great, and it looks to be a good fit. I like that the pattern is broken up higher than her waist, very flattering. The one drawback is that clunky jewelry, which doesn't work with the print.

  6. Always this shape of hat on her. I love the colours together. Definitely a not to complain about outfit.

  7. She probably thinks she's in the Argentine pampas and that's why she wears a hat with a huge diameter so that the sun doesn't burn her face.

  8. I disliked it the first time I saw it and I like it even less now. It looks like what my sister calls a home brew. It is badly sewn and the last thing Maxima should wear shape-wise. I suppose we all have our own tastes but the only thing I have ever seen her wear from the Nathan design team that was the least bit acceptable was a very beautiful black cashmere shawl wrap. Most of what they design for Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde I find very amateurish and 3/4 of the time not the right silhouette for their respective figures .

  9. I have always thought this to be a very nice dress: the colour combination and the woolen broidery- skirt ( do not know another word for it).
This is the first time the upper half fits well.
Wearing such a big hat inside is disputable, but makes M beautiful .

Sorry, I do not like this dress at all.
It is il fitting, wrinkles can be seen in her waist and it emphasizes her hips.
There is no balance between the upper and the lower part.
Colours do not match well either.
    Like her hat though.

  11. Love the color combination and mix of fabrics. I like Maxima’s earrings. Maxima favors this larger style of hat and looks good in them.

    1. Would you happen to know if there is a name for this style of hat? I love them but cannot find any online. Perhaps if I had a style name? Thank you!

  12. Odd combination of fabrics in the mask, dress top & bottom. Looks a mess. Why would she have worn such a huge hat inside a museum as well as gloves. At least the hat covered her usually messy hair. Not a fan of this mask, it looks cheaply made, not a good color. She has access to such a good mix of fabrics, colors, people who could make her a lovely mask.

  13. Great hat but I do think that large hat plus mask is a very strange look for anyone. It's difficult to avoid the "bandit" association. Like this dress better than I did last time round. Smart and flattering.

  14. I do like the colors together. Other than that, I am having my usual reaction to Natan designs. Maxima is smaller on the top, so the darker color on the bottom half of her body would have been a better option. What looks like a crocheted overlay adds more bulk to her hips. As nalerina mentions above, both Maxima and Mathilde are not dressed well for their body types. As attractive as pencil skirts and dresses are, you do need to have the right body to wear them so you look your best. Maxima looked much better yesterday.

  15. Beautiful earrings and wide bracelet that raise this outfit to a higher level of elegance. Like the color combo of charcoal with that particular shade of yellow, also like that the yellow part of the dress is crocheted. There is a lot going on in terms of texture and shapes (oval hat), but IMO it is all put together well and creates an attractive whole.

  17. Don't like this outfit, or the huge hat and gloves indoors. Maybe she is wearing gloves as covid prevention, will give her that.

  18. This is a hot mess, wrinkled dress, odd shape, exaggerated hat for a day indoor visit. She is different, and obviously has a very flamboyant taste, but elegance eludes her .
