  1. I'm seldom a fan of giant earrings, but these chunky gold beauties make a nice accent to Maxima's otherwise simple and low-key look.

    1. And looks like Princess Charlene has set the trend for glasses to be a fashion accessory.

  2. I like the dress. The button detail adds interest to an otherwise simple black dress. Earrings are fun. I don't think she needed the belt. Are all the pictures from the same day? Her hair is styled differently in the last photo.

    1. Her belts are rarely, if ever, necessary.

  4. Dress " less is more"
Hair looks much better now Its combed backwards and to make it even better she should cut it a bit shorter
    Stunning earrings
Respect for M's work to make women more financially independant.

  5. Is it just me or is she taking on a look of Catherine Deneuve (famous film star of France) ?

Her earrings look cheap, almost plastic.
Not her best outfit, but better than many other ones.

  7. On and on and on and on.... Always comments about her hair. I know now that most of you dislike it. Okay, fair. But can you please stop mentionning it over and over again? I always liked this site and reading the comments but enough is enough. Thank you in advance. I like the way Maxima is dressed here!!

    2. I donot comment on M. anymore because most of the time her hair is an embarrassment and destroys the impact of her ( expensive, tastefully or not tasteful) clothing.

    3. As long as Maxima continues to choose unhealthy, unstyled hair we will continue to comment about it. This website is all about how the royals look. That includes hair too.

    4. Perhaps the people who call out her hair have perfect hair at work everyday and admire that in royals. Fair enough.

I don’t have perfect hair at work everyday, but it’s mine and I like it. I admire Q Max for her unique style and her work.

All black outfit with striking earrings, very cool.

As a Queen, she should take more care of her public image, which includes hair styling.
The more her hair looks unkempt, the more it spoils even the best outfit she may choose to wear.

    6. The repetitive comments about her hair add nothing to the dialogue here. We all know her hair is damaged and usually looks terrible. Pointing it out at every opportunity comes across as a fallback when the commenter can think of nothing of value to say. Sometimes it is better to say nothing.

    7. Most of the time, it is hard not to comment on her hair, as it stands out quite visibly in a disappointing and disastrous way.

      @ Bepa
Yes, we may not have perfect hair, but we do not have a public image to save like Maxima.
She represents a country every time she performs official engagements.
      We are not Queens.

  8. Simple et belle création noire dont les petits boutons sur l'épaule attirent le regard ; pas fan de cette ceinture que je trouve trop large. Et toujours cette coiffure ; elle devrait s'inspirer de la princesse Mary !

  9. Yes nice black dress enhanced by the buttons; earrings are ok and the hair is styled backwards which fits well with the dress. It is worth comparing the hair style with the model, same tapered hair cut, often criticized.
By the way we have by now seen most of these royal ladies with glasses.

    1. It is called a certain age. It hits most of us around 40 to 50 years of age (Maxima, Mary, Letitia, Charlene, ) all fit that age. You suddenly realise you are taking your papers to the window to see what is on them or you are squinting at your monitor and think it is getting old. Then you realise it is not the monitor that's ageing it is you. It starts with reading glasses and mostly progresses to full time wear. Thank heavens there are such attractive frames around these days you can turn it into a fashion accessory .

  10. in the last photo she reminds me of Ivanka Trump... :-) I like her hair much better like this, she should make use of this style more often

I totally agree with Anon 10:35 PM, Maria from Italy, and Chel. You're spot on ladies! She must have a hair dresser, so yes, her hair can surely be cut shorter, and styled, elegant, and professional!

    1. Why on earth do you think she wants shorter hair? Personally I would not go for that hair style, however I agree with ellen's comments, 11.49hrs.

    2. There is no way she has a hair stylist for everyday events like Kate does. We know someone is called in for formal events and to touch up her roots, unless she does that herself. Her hair stylist is not necessarily the same one each time. If a regular stylist allowed her to walk about like that, he/she would never work in the field again.

  12. Horrible messy hair for a Queen, no matter how lovely her smile is, it shows disrespect to the rest of the country.
