On November 17, 2020, King Philippe of Belgium and Queen Mathilde visited the Bois de l’Abbaye Hospital Center in Seraing, Belgium. The King and Queen met with staff from different hospital departments and learns about capacity management during the second COVID-19 wave. The King and Queen also visited the Defense Intermediate Hospital Capacity unit, a wing of the hospital, where COVID patients who do not require intensive care, are cared for by military personnel.The military medical component team deployed at the Bois de l’Abbaye Hospital Center is made up of 25 people: doctors, nurses or ambulance drivers. Some are used to war zones abroad. The staff of the Bois de l’Abbaye trained the military in covid standards. Queen Mathilde's new outfit is by Belgian fashion house Natan.

ReplyDeleteSartorially speaking, love this green on Mathilde. It suits her very well. Tailoring-wise, not bad, doesn’t strike me as outstanding, but so much better than many of the dresses that show her hips to her disadvantage.

Maybe too much green? Overall she looks great and they are a lovely, thoughtful couple.
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely, hair combed nicely, like a Queen should. The outfit suits her well, and the occasion. Glad they put on protective gear to visit patients, shows their respect for the patients, and the desire to protect themselves as well. The King's tie coordinates with her bag and shoes, nice touch. They seem like such a well grounded couple, and family.

DeleteThey should extend the length of PPE, so its long enough to cover their neck-to the extend of the whole body. Its kinda risky to expose their neck inside the intensive unit.

Mathilde' s outfit is nice, but the colour is too bright and garish.

Her shoes are great too, but here again a blush tone would have been spot on.

ReplyDeleteTrès joli ce vert lumineux mais sa grande cape/manteau ? aurait été plus flatteuse -par exemple- dans une couleur gris-foncé ou même Camel ; avec le reste de la tenue, cela aurait été plus élégant. J'aime beaucoup sa pochette de la même couleur que ses ravissants escarpins !
ReplyDeleteLovely green cloak and dress. Much prefer this to the coat over the shoulders thing favoured by some others. The dress looks well fitted and tones perfectly with the cloak. Agree with Cynthia that a contrast might have been a more pleasing outfit but it looks good as it is. Bag and shoes also good. Lovely couple.
