The Duchess of Cambridge launched the Hold Still competition earlier this year, which encouraged people to capture a moment in time as the nation was told to stay at home during the early period of the coronavirus pandemic. In London, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the posters on display. Supported by Coo-p and Portrait Gallery, the portraits will be on display in 112 sites across 80 towns, cities and boroughs for a duration of four weeks.

After seeing the Hold Still 2020 portraits on display, The Duke and Duchess met with NHS workers at St.Barts, three of which were featured in the final 100 images for their image 'All in this together'. A digital exhibition was also organized, where the final 100 images are on display. The 100 finalists were announced in September. As an amateur photographer, The Duchess was in the jury with others from the National Portrait Gallery to assess the entries and choose 100 to make up a collection representing different aspects of the pandemic.

Glas to see her carrrying this lovely purse rather than those silly clutches for day events. She looks lovely.

    1. I think she is keeping her her floral midis in mind. I doubt she will be giving them up any time soon.

      @ Isabel L.
      Yes, it is.
It can be found in many F/W collections.
Biker jackets( both suede and faux/real leather ones) play also a key- role, I daresay.
The same can be said about biker ankle boots (Catherine is not going to wear them, I am afraid!).
The most trendy colours seem to be cognac, petrol green, different shades of blue, a good deal of red and black, light pink gold, silver and ochre yellow.
There are also many trendy sequined clothes and 'metalized' colours.
The latter can be used even in the morning( i.e.metalized studded leather jackets)
I'm looking forward to reading a post about Maxima wearing some gold or silver jacket!

  8. What a gorgeous coat as well as the superb red. The length give this coat a modern swing. Handbag so much more practical than Dutch eg with shaking hands, receiving flowers etc

    Wow!!
I myself have two similar coats (medium grey and red), but without the split on the back Such long coats are
    super trendy!
    Absolutely well done, Catherine.
And her hair is stunning as always.

  11. The length might be trendy, but nevertheless I think this length looks better with boots. - Playing with lengths (now very long, last year just a little bit less very long) is somehow an end in itself, it does not seem to bring an interesting design point - but a commercial point: Buy yourself the new length. Similar with those overly long trousers that can clean your floor or the street but does not bring any recognisable Wow! effect. Or does it?

  12. Saw the first photos of this coat and thought I was in love! Then saw the length of it and came back to earth with a bump. Still love the colour and the fit but it's just too long. The Duchess herself still looks great of course--just disappointed at a wasted opportunity

  13. Absolutely fantastic look for Catherine. That coat is gorgeous, the color and style. Great with black accessories, especially with the classic top handle bag.

  14. Love the colour and the cut. I wonder if a pair of full length boots might have been a better option. Kate is a tall lady, and yet the length seems to be too much even on her. Ana
