  7. That's what I like to see participation in the activities that the rest of us do; it brings us all together. The weather looks a bit cool, the family are having fun.

  8. That's quite the point spread. Spectators are bundled up while the girls are out in the not-so-warm water. Not taking anything away from Ingrid Alexandra... but is a royal lass allowed to finish below first place. Not insinuating, just wondering. ~Laurel~

    1. Of course she is. Just like her grandparents and aunt have done many times in their sport. In sport royal status have nothing to say, it's your skill that decides which place you end up on 1,2,3 or 10. Just ask Zara Tindall, Princess Haya, Prince Albert and so on...They don't win all the time. Her great grandfather won the olympic in sailing in 1928, but her grandfather who tried 3 times never ecomplished the same all though he has won the world and European championships several times.

    2. Her grandfather King Harald as expressed his disappointment that he never gained an olympic medal. It's something that he wanted to achieve, but couldn't. You don't win one just because you're a royal.
But as a royal you might have some advantages and better resources than others, which in the end will make him or her a good/better athlete.

Jaeren has a milder climate thanks to the Gulf Stream.
    It includes also wonderful Stavanger.
This is probably one of the best places in Norway where one can do surfing competitions in autumn.
    Congrats to Ingrid Alexandra!!

That's really good and Norwegian that she go a gold medal, having a few myself and out of my 4 hobbies of 1. Environmental Protection 2. Kickboxing 3.Skiing and 4.SURFING as well as long hikes, who doesn't like a good hike to be honest? Point is, having won some gold medals myself it is something you don't expect but you passionately consistently maintain motivation and hard work, practicing that interest to then actually win one. Very good and well done to her, because this shows a hard working individual which is very Norwegian and a good trait to have.
