    1. Without doubt. But at what price? A strict upbringing in a rigid, Japanese, Royal household.
She seems to have loving parents which must be a great support to her as a young 18 year old Princess.
Fashion wise, conservative, Japanese style which is suitable for all ages, 18 to 80 year olds.
      Happy studies dear Princess Aiko.

  3. Wow she's grown up so fast! I almost thought it was someone else.
She looks okay for her first day of school, BUT..

The fabric around Her right shoulders are rumpled. I also noticed a collar gap.
The collar didn't lean clean or tight against the back of her neck.
The cause is her poor posture or she wore a wrong size.

Dark colors are useful to appear smaller or slimmer. However she buttoned up her dark blazer which creates a waist line lower than her actual waist. This makes her torso look longer and her legs shorter. And the dark shoes didn't help her look taller.

Her hair looks normal, except for the fringe, it was either greasy with sweat or stiff because of hair spray. Can't tell

This isn't her worst outfit, she's actually looks her age and won't seem out of place if lined up with mako and kako. The cool/cold color scheme of her outfit actually fit her complexion better than her usual pink stuffs.

  4. She is still 18 years old and is wearing clothes a woman in her 40s, 50s, 60s, or 70s could easily wear. The jacket is boxy, making her look shapeless. The skirt has an enormous amount of fabric, giving her big hips. If the idea was to disguise her figure, and it may have been, they have succeeded. Whatever kind of stockings she is wearing are terrible. They remind me of compression stockings. They are thick and heavy, and are not a nice color. Again, she is covered up, instead of wearing a sheer, nude stocking. I understand bare legs are not an option here. Her shoes could have come straight out of my grandma's closet. Young ladies her age just don't dress this way. I know she was bullied and teased when she was a young girl in school. Having this much control over her, and being so out of touch with the world around them is bound to have contributed to it.

A pair of cute trousers and flats, along with the jacket would have looked nice and more in line with her age. If the skirt was necessary for some reason, it needed a major debulking and the jacket needed to be taken in on the sides. I will stick with the idea of flats. I know the princesses like this style of hair. While it looks a bit strange to most of us, it is the style for them. I like that her bangs are imperfect. It is the most real thing about her appearance, wabi-sabi.

  7. This outfit would be sooo great with a pencil skirt. The proportions would fall into place perfectly, imo. Easy fix! Can a stylist please somehow come to the palace (maybe pretending to be a gardener?) and give this girl some help?!

    Signed,
    Grumpy
