Originally named the ‘Great British Spring Clean’ the campaign was moved from the original date in March due to the start of Coronavirus pandemic and is now the Great British September Clean. This year, people are encouraged to run their own small, local beach clean in line with current Government guidelines.

  1. So nice to see James smile. He is usually so solemn. This is a great project, and the Wessex family seemed happy to do their part.

      Indeed, agree with you Debra.

    2. Agree that it’s great to have a photo of James smiling, I have wondered if he is perhaps painfully shy and self-conscious by nature. If so, the family photo calls are probably something he dreads. I’d like to think that with time and the opportunity to develop his interests and navigate life on his own, he will blossom into a confident young man.

  2. Toute la famille très active en cette journée particulière. Nous pouvons remarquer que lady Louise est presque aussi grande que ses parents ; bien mignon le petit frère que nous voyons sourire, ce qui est rare !

I agree with the above comments. They all look terrific in their casual attire, just like any other family joining in. I have to say, Edward dresses down better than any of his siblings. Each time I see pictures of James, I always think he is a boy that looks like he is the last boy on earth that wants to be where he is, on display, and would rather be an unknown, non-royal kid doing anything other than what he is doing. In other words, your typical kid. Seeing him smile is such a treat.

I'm curious about the very odd placement of James' shoe compared to his leg in the 4th photo. I can't work it out. Elle

Louise is most similar to her grandmother - the Queen, of all queen´s grandchildren . Check out photos from the Queen as a child.
