  1. Aha! she found the creme rinse conditioner on the bathroom shelf. What a difference. All very presentable and very tame for Maxima but also very flattering. Belt, earrings handbag all in balance. Although I must admit Maxima looks gorgeous with some of her giant earrings even those simply huge shell ones of yesterday. I don't think many ladies can get away with that.

The outfit is better without the belt.
The handbag is great but the mismatched shoes detract from it.

    1. What mismatched shoes?!!!
Would you expect matchy-matchy shoes and purse?
      🙄

  3. Always smiling, always out there doing the job. Maybe not always perfect with her choice and style of outfits. But to me, the Queen has got her priorities right. Bravo Queen Maxima.

Again something that is better without a belt.
Now it is not a flattering dress.

    1. I think it is a quite flattering outfit and it fits her very well. Judging from the color, it is a piece from the new fall collection. I like it, belt unnecessary yes and the hair is better.

Plum is a great color on Maxima. I like that outfit is matching separates. Great bag and simple, pretty make- up. Her hair could use a little help. I feel like whoever blow drys and styles her hair (and it could be Maxima herself) doesn't understand her hair type.

Today is perfection day for Maxima, love the bag 💕

  7. Oh, lovely . Gorgeous colour of dress in a simple elegant style,. Great length, great accessories. I think the belt is fine with this outfit and overall it's a very youthful silhouette. Accompanied by Queen Maxima's smile it's a total winner for me.

This is a great colour and proof that less is more. Even her hair looks fairly decent. Today’s massive assessory is the ring!

Lovely outfit, lovely colour and a lovely Queen wearing it. Her warm character and personality simply shine though at all her appearances, thereby detracting from any minor fashion misgivings, such as the shoe colour in this case.
    She looks lovely.

I have to wonder what was photoshopped in/out/changed, in the 2nd photo. Look at the girl with the short skirt. Her legs/shoes are very weird, yet in other photos, they look normal.

Yeah. Her right leg looks off. I can’t figure out what may have been photoshopped either. Typically these types of pictures aren’t. It’s weird.

  12. This is a beautiful plum colour and suits the Queen perfectly. That handbag is gorgeous, I love it! She is wearing some individual and interesting pieces of jewellery. I like this dress, I prefer it with the belt.

The color is fabulous on Maxima. She looks best when her clothes are not too tight, but skimming her body. I love the idea of separates, giving her more options for wearing each piece. We can't see the waistband of the skirt, and it may not be very attractive. Since the top is tucked in, the belt was probably necessary. It does have a little more flavor than I would probably choose, but as we say, that is Maxima. I love her bag. It makes so much more sense than a clutch for these daytime outings. The dark shoes are the right choice here.

  14. She is awesome always out there othis is about fashion stop with the personal criticism I would like to see others doing as good a job with cameras always in your face and derogatory comments about you and your family. With all that is going on in the world have some human kindness towards each other no matter what your status please.

    1. Yes, you are right about cameras following her every single step and her family's,too.
Anyway , nobody is attacking Maxima and I guess she knew what entering a Royal Family entails since when she got engaged to her husband.
Royal ladies, particularly those who become Crown Princesses not by birth , but by marriage are supposed to know what their lives will be like when becoming working royals.
The majority of them were born commoners and became royals when they got married.
I think it is hard to accept endless scrutiny, but they are expected to cope with public exposure.
Can we at least talk about her damaged hair which seem better now in these pics, please?

    2. @ Cally, who is attacking her? I haven’t seen any comments derogatory or not about her personality or character. Why are you so upset about imaginary offenses? Perhaps re-read the comments before you jump on the commenters...
      Just saying!
That being said, I really like this dress, and I think the belt is a very good idea to make it more structured, I like the bag, and the shoes are a good choice.
      Win- win for her today.

Her outfit looks simple but it stands out thanks to that rich berry color. Love it.
Her hair look slightly better styled but I wish she would find herself a hairdresser who would fix all that hair damage. Long hair are beautiful but when the hair are damaged and thin, then better cut off dead ends and try again.

I can' t believe my eyes: stunning trendy berry colour, the bag is to die for, flattering shoes and even thumbs up for her giant jewels!
Her hair ..., well slightly better than usual.

I do not quite understand the overly positive comments on this outfit....
The dress has a good colour, I can agree to that, and a simple clear line, also OK.
But then: again the horrible shiny pantyhose which makes the legs look more heavy than necessary. Furthermore, the mumsy shoes, in spite of the heels, sandals would have been a far better choice.... and to add insult to injury, the totally unnecessary belt..... as usual: one ore two items too many on her outfit.

    1. I understand your view, but I think that style and taste are a personal choice.
Anyway, an outfit should be considered as a whole, in my opinion.
Maybe it can work if one looks at it altogether and much dipends on the person who is wearing it ( build and physical features).
I am Italian and I know how Massimo Dutti creations may make a woman look really glamorous.
Please, don' t misunderstand me, I do not think that Italian style is absolutely the best, because I know I would be wrong.
Plenty of non - Italian stylists do create wonders!

  28. Anonymous @ 12:43 PM. Massimo Dutti is not an Italian designer, in fact he doesn’t exist, the name is a trademark of the brand Inditex, a step above in price and style than Zara also owned by Inditex. Their designs are Spanish, created in Spain and manufactured in many different countries ( like most clothing nowadays) so no high design here from an Italian couturier, just an affordable line from Spain.

    2. I know M.Dutti store in Milan, where I bought lovely clothes.
I made a sort of fashion tour and then went to Via Montenapoleone as well.
I do not know the company Inditex.
As far as Maxima is concerned, her outfit is not a dress actually but a sweater and a coordinated skirt, which may explain why she used a belt.
Probably she wanted it to look like a dress.
