Great outfit! This look seems true to Meghan’s personal style. She looks relaxed and comfortable. I love the shoes. The third picture down is beautiful.

Don‘t like the plain white T-Shirt combined with the trousers. And don‘t like the trousers combined with the sandals. All pieces taken for them alone are nice. But somehow they don‘t go well together. The outfit can‘t decide whether it is casual or formal. Scarlett Witch

I thought this blog was about royal fashion. I am disappointed that this blog is becoming a political tribune from which Mrs Markle's political views are spreading (or should I say Mrs Mountbatten - Windsor?). She is running an election campaign in favor of a Democratic Party candidate.

She should drop her title and uses Mrs. Harry Albert David. She has already upset the UK enough

    3. Exactly right. She is just using people (or they her) to get ahead. Harry should have listened to EVERYONE who tried to warn him. Now he lives in a community property state. What a fool.

I agree with Anonymous 5:34. This blog is promoting Meghan Markle rebellion against the British royal family. And the so called " Sussex Squad" are not helping Meghan by their arrogant comments and personnal attacks against anyone who doesn't admire Meghan Markle. Prince Harry is being used by the Sussex Squad only for Meghan Markle tool of promotion. Poor Prince Harry. He has been isolated from his family by Meghan Markle and the Sussex squad who show any respect for the british people and the BRF as an institution. It's a pity and very deceitfull to know that some liberal women leaders like Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and other american celebrities are encouraging Meghan Markle's arrogance towards the UK and the royal family as an institution.

One of the terms of carrying the title Duchess is to not get involved in politics, cause it divides people.

Lets face it no journalist would come to your house for an interview if you were not a Duchess.

All we have seen, so far, is getting out the message to vote. Everybody and their uncle is promoting the message to vote. If she starts campaigning for a candidate, I will agree with you. Until then, I don’t think it is an issue.

Meghan might not be naming names, but her choice in her messaging is clear. When she's advocating 'for the change we all need', her position is quite clear. As an American, she is well within her rights, to advocate for who ever she wants. The problem is, she's doing it whilst using a British Royal title. The BRF, do not and should not been seen to be favouring one party over another here in the UK, so it's disrespectful to be seen to be doing in another country ! Whilst she insists on using the title, she bound by the rules all royal adhere to. If finding absolute freedom is their ultimate goal, then they might be better served relinquishing the title ! Ana

In the United States 'British Royal Titles' are invalid(The Constitution says so). T. She is exercising her right as an American citizen. 9:18 really? Not only historically uninformed, but making up new rules that even the BRF has never heard of. It is the people who report the news who add the title, The word Duchess does not appear in the pictures.
The 'take away their titles' chant is nonsense. The Queen will not do it. Why even Uncle Andy gets to keep his title, and have the church bells rung for his birthday!
@ Jill Before meeting Harry, she spoke at the United Nations, and that is no small thing. None of us will get that opportunity. ...ever. Her reps are working to raise her profile for whatever her future plans are. Inviting Gloria S. seems to be part of it, and the lady looks like she came of her own free will.
In these communities, people regularly hold fundraisers in their homes for political candidates and are quietly active in politics. Do you really believe that the British aristocrats are not active in politics? Ana - 1776

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought both Charles and William reportedly snubbed Trump. At the reception, Anne didn’t greet Trump and gave the shrug we have all seen. I do know that both Charles and William met with Obama, and the photos appear very warm and friendly during these meetings. I think they all make their feelings known without saying a word.

      Delete
    6. Anonymous28/8/20 21:28

No, Trump was not snubbed by royal family. They will do their duty and support the Queen when she has to entertain foreign dignitaries. If I recall , Charles and Camill had Trump and his wife to tea. William and Catherine were at the State Dinner for him. And as for Anne, there was a lot of talk about that , but she did not snub Trump. She was waiting at the door with two aides where the reception was held. The Queen, standing in the receiving line, said out loud, "Who's next?" /Anne said, "It's just me," and shrugged and laughed. Anne then glanced at the people with her and joked, "and just this lot." Then Anne entered the room and joined the gathering. You can google this and find the real story and corrections. The royals personal view of a dignitary is not taken into account. They have their job to do and it's not their place to decide who they will greet and who they will not.

What a cool, comfortable and pulled together outfit. It is perfect for sitting outside in the warm weather. The trousers have a men’s wear design, and are feminized by those killer shoes. Keeping the top simple and close fitting is best with the volume in the trousers. The top might be too simple for me, but not by much. I love her hat.

Love the entire ensemble, it reminds me of something Lauren Bacall would have worn in one of her movies, masculine pants softened with very feminine shoes, and casual top , perfect for an outdoors get together. Faithful to her clean style, neutral colors and simple lines, I don’t think I have ever seen her on florals, ruffles or over embellished outfits.

I think most of you can get a nicer outfit less than $ 1000. Really, living in a mansion , wearing things costing hundreds of dollars, travel by private planes and expensive SUV and pontificate to the masses about voting and feminism . I wonder what could possibly go wrong with that picture. The disconnect is astounding.

Do these rules only apply to Meghan, and if so, why? The entire family dresses in high end clothes. Oftentimes I have thought to myself that they have thrown away good money on ugly clothes, and very rarely do we see affordable clothes. I also wonder why Kate has worn such expensive gemstone earrings to certain visits. I haven’t said anything about it here, but does cross my mind. The cost of the other royals clothes are never as big an issue as Meghan’s are. Why is that? Meghan wears more discreet jewelry than anyone else, yet her gold bracelet got more space than any jewelry in recent memory. Bringing up living in a mansion? They all live in large homes. All. Of. Them. Why is this an issue? This family has Buckingham Palace. They have castles. The list goes on. Where is the outrage about that? Everyone one of them own/ride in SUVs and have other luxury cars. Why single out Harry and Meghan? The Queen travels by Rolls. Does that outrage you? There is a tremendous obsession about flying in private planes. I don’t know how many times it happened in total, but they have all done it, (not to mention the private yacht use in the past). I do not like the message of saving the environment, then flying chartered in planes. It is hypocritical. I do maintain just by living where they are now, they are doing more than most for the environment. Telling people to vote is something that needs to be done. Too many people are squandering their right to vote. If she comes out and names candidates by name, I will have a problem because I don’t like anyone doing it, no matter who they are. I can think for myself. I am not sure why feminism bothers you so much. Women are not treated equally, and it is worse in some places in the world. Men need to get the message that women can’t be treated less than any more. In a way, the Queen could be considered the original feminist. She has been reigning longer than any other woman, and her husband has always had to walk behind HER. We all know how much he enjoyed that. I would argue no man could have done a better job as monarch during Elizabeth II’s reign.

Let’s be fair and equal when dishing out the criticism. If it is good for one, it should be good for all.

The title has to be given or revoked by the Queen...as a royal crusader, this is rule number one. Please revisit your handbook. In fact she does have it both ways. No title in the US. Title in GB. The year of review that the queen herself put in place is not over. The queen does not rely on outside help to make family decisions. Ana1

Ana 1, some people here really believe that the queen reads these blogs...the same ones that go around pontificating about royal issues and made up protocols. They also think that they know everything that goes on inside this family. They continually trash them because they want MM & Harry to continue living a life that these readers feel entitled to choose for them, they want to see pictures of Archie, they are starving for a morsel of their private lives, and since this couple have decided to take the wheel and share what they want to, they have to relay on the tabloids.... pathetic!
