On August 29, the Metropolitan Opera in New York will be broadcasting live from Oscarshall, Norway the Norwegian soprano Lise Davidsen's concert. Queen Sonja got together with Lise Davidsen during the rehearsals at Oscarshall. There will not be an audience at Oscarshall. Because of this reason, the Queen wanted to visit the singer beforehand.
The concert at Oscarshall is the fourth in a concert series of twelve live broadcast performances featuring soloists who are associated with the renowned opera house. These soloists will perform in locations across Europe and the United States.
The summer palace Oscarshall is located on the peninsula of Bygdøy, outside Oslo city centre.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful combination of colours. That looks to be a pink silk blouse underneath with a tie at the neck, the jacket is really lovely. The Queen is such an elegant woman.
