Yesterday evening, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia of Spain arrived in Palma de Mallorca for 2020 summer holiday. On Monday, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, accompanied by their two daughters, will visit the town of Petra on the Balearic Islands. Thus, they will begin a 10-day journey through the different Balearic islands.
Petra is a town on the Mediterranean island of Majorca, in the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. "Petra" means "rock" in Latin.
They certainly deserve it after the work they have done recently as well as all the controversy about King Juan Carlos. Hope they are able to enjoy a restful break

ردحذفI have a feeling Felipe is going to make sure there are no missteps during the pandemic as far as he and his family are concerned. Their image is more important than ever with his father's latest shenanigans. Leonor has probably done a little more growing up in the last week, and I can't help but wonder if her place in the front seat of the car is a deliberate message that the future is secure.

I fail to see why this is worthy of comment.They wore their mask during their flight, and before arriving at their residence they put them on again.

حذفI appreciate your comments. Felipe has handled himself well while dealing with the scandals of his family, and setting a very different tone during his reign. I can only conclude that the comments regarding the masks are from people who fail to wear them as they should.

ردحذفFor all those complaining about masks, they follow the expert guidance. The worse thing you can do is keep putting the mask on and off. They left their masks on and then presumably when they get to their final locations, wash their hands, remove their masks and be done with it. A++ for proper protocol and leadership.

True the other children have been shown regularly but mainly in informal settings, This child's outings are strategic , formal, full of symbolism, placed in the heir position giving the impression that she is working. Not the same impression given by the Dutch, Danes and Norwegians with children of similar ages. ..Just an observation. July

ردحذفThese girls aren’t on display, if anything Queen Letizia has been vilified over the years because she tried to limit the exposure of her daughters, and now here are the experts making an issue about Leonor riding next to her father. In my opinion this couple have exemplary in the way the have always conducted themselves as parents. The princess is just a few years away from becoming of age, she will have to attend the military academy and get ready for her duty as future queen. I sincerely hope that they can overcome all the efforts of the anti monarchy factions, and succeed in their endeavors.
I have been privileged to work and live in beautiful Spain, and had the opportunity to see the royal couple up close on an event in Avila.
