On August 8, 2020, Saturday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia presented prizes to the winners of this year's themed gardens competition in Solliden Palace Park. The themed gardens competition took place on the palace grounds for the sixth time. This year's theme was 'Hemester'.
Winner of Solliden's prize was Helena Gustafsson. Winner of visitors' prize was Lovisa Fogelström and Niclas Bernehagen won the digital prize. The themed gardens will be exhibited in Solliden Palace Park until 31 August. (Queen Silvia wore a blue long cardigan from Issey Miyake.)

Otherwise, I like the trousers and long cardigan style. Simple but smart.

ردحذفIt is for the first time I see the Queen in something not flattering: the colour of the long cardigan is very nice, but the material is not good.
ردحذفFrom Joann - I agree. It is rare to see the Queen in a fashion mishap. This cardigan is not for her. Actually, it makes her look heavier. And, of course, the undergarments may be all wrong too. I'm not a fashion expert, but I think thin knits and jerseys are a problem for women who may be carrying extra weight - especially in the chest and stomach area.
حذفI agree. I saw the first pic (shoulders you) and thought “how nice:)”. But then the full body one and “oooo, not a good look”. So close and yet so far for usually well tailored Queen Sil. I agree with you that the material has awkward give to it.

ردحذفApart from that let'us not forget about her natural age... It seemed to me that they have stayed a rather long time away from Stockholm, and maybe she did not have the opportunity of having her usual care.
Looking back in earlier pages she looked quite nice in an earlier article dated 10/07.

ردحذفWhile I usually don't like to comment on such a personal matter, the Queen is in desperate need of a properly fitting bra -- preferably one which gives a comfortable lift. One only needs to look at the photos to see what I mean.

ردحذفPersonally - if I were to presented with an award, I would make sure I wouldn't look like I just left my bed... I had to scroll back to make sure the award ceremony was about Who Were the Best PJs...
ردحذفThe Queen - she's always the epitome of grace and elegance, and she's a stylish woman too with a impeccable sense of colours, patterns etc but this time, a well-fitting underwear would have been a lot more important given the fabric choice.

What were they ALL thinking? The queen, sadly looks dishelved not her usual lovely put together outfits, and did she forget her undergarments? Not a good look. Her face seems odd, cheeks puffy, yet other places wrinkled. I know she is older, but its odd how one area is so smooth, compared to the rest of her face/neck. With little or no makeup, she looks tired somehow. Hope she has not been ill. The people winning the awards are dressed in house frocks, they all look like they just got out of bed, wrinkled /krinkled/etc. The King looks good.
