On July 5, 2020, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn as part of the NHS birthday celebrations in Norfolk. Sunday marks the 72nd anniversary of the formation of the National Health Service (NHS). The UK has hailed its NHS for the work they have done during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Duchess wore a new floral print shirt dress by Beulah London. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wore the same dress in December last year.

  1. They look like they are really having fun and the Duchess suits her hair tied back like this. I like the pattern of the dress but not too sure about the white collar--certainly think it looks better open as on the model. There is such a strong similarity between Catherine and Crown Princess Mary---I didn't notice that the final photo WAS Mary until I went back to look at the dress again.

Agree they both do seem to enjoy their time together and with others. The blue they both wore was a great way to honor the NHS and its workers.

Kate looks great, I like the style of the dress the white collar just breaks it up . William is doing a great job. l look at the royal family like any family business. I know quite a few farming family 's;one son does all the work and the other son who left, still wants the money that he see's his brother gets, and isn't doing any work;it isn't easy.(Tara)

  5. The Duchess looks nice, but I am not a fan of this dress. It seems to have a matronly look about it. Some elements are nice. I love her choice of shoes.

  6. BEULAH London is doing well with publicity from the Royal ladies.
At the same time it's a style that shows up well on the slim figures of Princess Mary and the Duchess of Cambridge.

It is indeed lovely to see how much fun Katherine and William bring to their engagements. It still makes me wonder though, why they could not help Harry and Meghan having smiles on their faces too. With all respect to their heads together, mental illnesses initiatives and good causes, it makes me sad that they did not manage to support Harry and Meghan to adjust to their royal lives more and support them more actively against the media circus. After all, Katherine´s family also went through the UK tabloid machine in the early days... they know how it feels. The UK media outlets will always find a new victim, And that just after one motto - what sells.
There are clearly others in the royal family (Andrew...) who deserve more scrutiny, about their actions,... there no one asks about security cost etc.
Just finding it disappointing and sad.

Where is the proof that they didn't support Harry and Meghan? Just an awful lot of speculation.

    2. One can only support someone else as far as they will allow you to. And of course if they are willing to accept your guidance for handling certain situations. Some people don't appreciate learning from others' experience and prefer to learn from their own mistakes. What can you do. In the end we're all responsible for our own happiness.

Meghan can't get along with her blood family. At her wedding, she had 1 (one!) member of her family - a mother. I would have fallen in disgrace in her place. If Meghan and Harry had visited her father in the US in person before the wedding, everything could have been different. While they can fly private planes on vacation to luxury resorts, I don't understand why it was so hard to visit her father before the wedding. Instead, they sent links and threatening phone calls. She could also invite siblings to the wedding, their relationship could develop better.

Totally agree with you Anonymous 9:03.
How do we know this not feeling supported by the RF?
It's common knowledge and also said by Meghan, besides it was very clear, during the time the tabloids were finishing her off. Same happened to Diana and we know how that ended. Bringing up this fact is not about being nasty, it's about the truth.

Agree with Anon 09:03 AM in most points and have to ad that the "New York Times"-Journalists found out, that Prince Harry´s and Duchess Meghan "Sussex-Royal" has to have less followers than "Kensington-Royal".
Do not agree with Anon 12:51 PM who is questioning everything and have to say, that unfortunately there is nothing which can crack prejudice, impossible, ask Einstein.

    6. Where is this same energy towards the Queen or Charles seems to me everyone wants to blame the Cambridges for everything. William and Catherine aren't H&M's babysitters.

Family matter is always complicated. I think there's unmet expectations on both sides. Perhaps H&M wants to lead and be global star power and RF wants them to do their job but respectful of who's the head of the crown and position of William as future king.

Many of Meg problem with media snow ball from her relationship and dealing with her estranged family, extravagant trips and poor optics.
There are some instances I think RF could have step forward to support her.

But I think to accuse C&W not helping is unfair.

Anon 5:10 - I don't understand your comment at all.

      I did not question everything.

Having a different opinion does not make me prejudiced. I am not.

What has Einstein got to do with the price of fish?

You seem to have deduced an awful lot about me from two sentences...

I just don't think it's as open and shut as the Cambridges didn't support the Sussexes. I think there is nuance. I have a lot of time for Meghan and Harry.

I think people's memories are quite short. Catherine had a very tough time at the hands of the press. So did Diana - but she also played quite a complex game with the press and got burned because it's an uncontrollable monster. It ended with her death after being chased by paps - however, a sober driver and the wearing of a seatbelt would have had a very different ending.
I'm not saying that negates Meghan's experiences - she clearly felt unsupported and Harry agrees. But it doesn't matter what various newspapers say - we don't know exactly what happened so we don't know the "truth" and I don't think finger pointing at either couple is particularly helpful.

Sorry Meghan and Harry are the sole sources of their fate- period. To come into a family and family business acting like you know all and will change it (hit the grown running) after such a tiny period of time was so arrogant- it was Harry and Meghan pushing back on William and Catherine’s very wise advice to take it slow. Advice by the way which they both spurned and has been reported as the beginning of their rift. I agree with those who said you cant’t help those who don’t want your help. The Queen even changed some protocol to help Meghan feel more welcome. Also Catherine was either pregnant (with HG) or with her newborn third child through most of Meghan’s time coming onto the scene. She showed up at their wedding mere weeks after giving birth- that is a very supportive person! W & C should not have had to take on 36 & 37 year old children as well, especially ones who don’t care what you have to offer. William protected and slow-walked Catherine through the process, Harry did not show such care with Meghan, nor does it seem she would welcome it. Even on their last engagement at Canada House, she pulled his arm to sit down when he stood for the other ladies coming into the meeting. Good grief, he stood for them and then he was gesturing for them to sit down first, before he did. Meghan was still trying to stage manage someone who had been stage managed in protocol his entire life! Monarchy is not Hollywood - there is a very different dynamic and I think the best thing to happen was that these two take their separate vision and build on it, clearly they are happy to complain and criticize while stay accepting the money which is very hypocritical to me.

Although it is a style that mostly suits K. Very well this time I donot like the dress, too old fashioned.
With the upper button open and without the shoulder things it would be better. Her good humour outshines it!

  9. C'est un joli modèle au motif floral mais je verrais mieux le col blanc avec une petite ouverture en V ; j'aime beaucoup les boucles d'oreilles Patrick Mavros qu'elle a déjà portées mais sur fond argenté ; superbes les escarpins !

Lovely to see them out and about - they seem relaxed, happy and engaged.

I like Catherine's nod to the NHS anniversary through her dress. Personally I would prefer the collar open as i think it looks a bit "governessy" like this.

  11. I love how Kate is always cheerful and well turned out for any occasion. The dress itself is okay, but I liked it a little bit more on Mary. Still, it can't be easy having to find the perfect outfit with accessories for every occasion, and being critiqued for your choices. You can't please everyone, so you may as well please yourself ;)

  12. What a charming couple! I like Catherine's earrings very much, as far as I know they are a gift from William.

  13. I would adore Catherine's dress if it were collarless...I think the white cuffs are a delightful and sufficient accent; for me the collar creates a bit of a "schoolmarm-ish" and buttoned-up vibe.

  14. Fantastic! I absolutely love this dress, frim the print to the contrasting collar, to the tie waist. Great ponytail. She has absolutely killed it during lockdown, she just seems to have softened her stiffness (I certainly don't mean that in a negative, only in a job related way). Lovely earrings.

  15. I find the dress matronly and autumn like, she can get away with it because she is young, has a great figure and a lovely face, that looks even prettier with the ponytail.
BTW, are you keyboard warriors ever stop obsessing about H&M ? goodness gracious!! this is not about them, besides you still don't know anything about their private issues, your hunger for gossip borders on ridiculous.

  16. Thank you my virtual friends. Thank God I have been spared from this horrible virus, I am now taking a couple of weeks to rest. I can't revisit the horrors that I have witnessed, and I have worked under horrific conditions on refugee camps, and underdeveloped countries.
Hero, I was afraid that Texas would fall into a bad situation, you can't disregard the advice of those that have scientific knowledge or are in the front lines. My heart goes out to you, be hopeful, I can attest that health workers are in a better position now to save lives, some drug combinations are proving effective and protocols are much improved, the death rate won't be as high as in the beginning, sadly there is very little being said about the possible long term side effects that survivors ( specially the very ill and younger) as thousands have suffered irreparable damage .
I am sending you love to you and all Houstonians.
