Royal Ascot 2020 is taking place on June 16-20 at Ascot Racecourse, with coverage of the virtual event being broadcast on ITV. Zara Tindall, an accomplished equestrian who has even competed in the Olympics, typically attends Royal Ascot at the Ascot Racecourse each year. However, this year, Zara and Mike watched the event from home because of the coronavirus pandemic.

But Mike and Zara didn’t let that stop them celebrating the annual sporting occasion. Mike shared a snap of himself and Zara posing outside in all their finery, writing in the accompanying caption: "When it’s day 1 of Royal Ascot and you have nothing else on!!! @itvracing #wishiwasthere."

Zara's personal stylist, Annie Miall, also shared the photo on her Instagram account, revealing that Zara's blue dress is by British designer brand Beulah London.

    I think it's fantastic that they got dressed up in support of the event even though they weren't attending. I am more touched by the gesture than the outfits though those are lovely as well.

    Perfect on the fashion side (his and hers) for a day at the races.
    Are they still talking about leaving the British scene and starting their life in Australia?
    Should they make the move and as Sara Tindall has no royal title and is very low key on the (royal) media side, hopefully they will avoid the media upheaval that the Sussex couple have gone through.
    And Princess Madeleine of Sweden has taken up residence in the USA with her family without a critical word from the media.
    Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan ....... watch this space for the next episode.

    I too thought that Zara looked slimmer and she certainly looks better in this dress than in the shorter ones she has worn at race meetings previously. Love the colour and the hat is superb. They always look like a couple who are having fun.
