Normally, the Royal Palace opens to the public on this day and is free to visit. Instead of welcoming visitors in through the doors, Crown Princess Victoria has recorded a series of online tours of the royal residence in Stockholm which are being shared on the official social media. This is because of the corona epidemic.

    2. The dress is a reuse, a lot has already been said about it, but only few positive things. I think there is definitely something wrong with that dress for Victoria.

All dressed up and nowhere to go. Norway seemed to manage a successful decent public celebration... what's wrong with Sweden? ~Laurel~

Sweden has over 43,000 cases of Covid-19 compared to Norway's 8,500. Sweden's population is roughly double that of that of Norway. The two countries responded very differently to the virus. Norway went into lockdown in mid March. When Norway's National Day took place a few weeks ago, the country had already started to reopen. While subdued compared to normal some celebrations were still able to take place.

Love the pictures of Estelle and Daniel dancing. Such a sweet father/ daughter moment. Estelle looks so tall and Oskar's smile is contagious. Would have loved a picture of Alexander and Gabriel's faces. Love the different shades of blue and yellow on Madeleine and her kids. Adrienne has beautiful curls. All three kids are adorable.

  6. Jolies photos de toute la famille royale. Tous les petits princes sont adorables ; Madeleine a beaucoup de goût quand elle habille Leonore et Adrienne qui est toujours aussi craquante, toute frisée ; je trouve qu'elle ressemble à son papa !

I never knew that the King of Sweden was not happy about his daughter succeeding him as queen and that he would prefer his son to instead. I wish I had not learned this, because I can't look at him the same way now.

    1. Anon 9:34. You can rest assured because it's not true. It's something made up on gossip boards in the last ten years. If the King had said anything even close to that it would've caused an uproar of unprecedented strenght towards the Monarcy. In fact, Sweden would probably not still be a monarchy.

Anon 934: I remember when Victoria, Carl Philip, and Madeleine were born. There was never any talk about Carl Gustaf having regrets that his son will not inherit him. Victoria was raised to become queen. And it was always said that Madeleine was his favorite child! The King has always supported Victoria and is pleased with what she is doing. As for his public dignified persona - apparently in private he is quite a happy & fun-loving person! ~Laurel~

I agree with Haga. Scandinavian countries has STRONG views when it comes to equality between men and women. Equilty is everything.
