Interesting how different countries in Europe are managing Covid
    Spanish/Monaco Royals- Always wearing masks
    British Royals- Keeping 2m distance
Swedish/Dutch- Its like it never happened, no masks

    1. Not quite accurate about the Dutch though. First everyone had to stay home unless in a "critical" job. At all times if you went anywhere (like supermarket) you had to keep 1.5 metres away from anyone else and only a limited amount of persons were allowed in each shop based on the square metres of the shop. Also in our supermarket everyone had to have a trolley (pushing it you automatically had to keep a distance from others) and they asked only one person per houshold to do the shopping so if yiou did arrive with two they made you each tote a trolley. Also for the last two weeks everyone using public transport has to wear a mask.

Yes, and so are the numbers last week.

      Spain - 2000 new cases

Britain - 9000 new cases ( their outbreak came several weeks after other European countries)

Sweden - 7000 new cases (they have shut very little down)

Numbers over the next month or so will continue to show the wisdom or foolishness of a country.

I really don't think the British outbreak started much later. We just pretended it wasn't happening in the hope it would go away. Rather like Europe. :-)

To Anon 10:41: There are also countries where only a small minority has worn masks during the pandemic and the number of new cases during the past few days has been 0 (Finland). I guess masks are more useful in densely populated areas and in cultures where people are used to hugging and kissing and where several generations may live under the same ro

The girls have grown a lot! Letizia will soon be the shortest one in the family -- or is she already?

    5. Lady M...Spain has had only about 100 new cases daily, the rest are antibody tests ( people who have recovered and have inmunity) It would be great if you could learn some Spanish and read the figures properly)

    6. 2000 new cases in Spain where? In fact ALL Spain is just in the "new normal" and the borders open, some regions as Galicia it was a week ago, beaches, bars, restaurants have been open since a month ago. I do not know why you speak without knowledge about a so important thing..., only about 100 new cases and in a few places as one hospital and 2 or three nursing homes..

    7. Paula, "hugging and kissing" is not allowed in Spain even wearing a mask..and it was only between families, people are not hugging and kissing people all around.I do not know where you find that information. Here is a wise.

    8. In Sweden they don't beleive masks helps that much, that is why we don't wear them. In some shops there is only a certain amount allowed inside so there are queues outside. In shops you should keep ca 1,5-2 m distance. And there are only 50 persons allowed at gatherings so concerts, sportevents, tv-programmes have no audience if they at all is happening. There are a lot of restrictions even that we did not shut down.

    9. Paula, people in Spain do not live under the same "ro", in fact the great problem have been the nursing homes, because there are about 10 millions of people over 65.... (the double of the population in Finland)..You are speaking about 100 years ago or so..
You should travel a bit more, I would not dare to speak about a country I do not know at all.
Also as someone said, we only kiss the family, not everybody we met.

Thanks for correcting my mobile typos — not always so easy to write when tapping on a small screen. 😄 There are also graphics/statistics showing the covid-figures relative to the population of each country (cases per million etc.). Cultural differences certainly play at least some role in how each country and its population has reacted to the pandemic.

As for several generations living under the same roof, the situation may not be the same as 100 years ago, but for instance in Italy and Spain adult children often live with their parents longer than their counterparts in Finland for instance, where most children move away from home at 18 or 19. Finnish grandparents almost never live with their children and grandchildren. And with ” hugging and kissing” I meant the normal life, not the ”new normal”.

Sorry for the probable typos etc., I’m in a hurry.

Quick answer still to unknown 8:56: I didn’t expect you to hug and kiss everybody 🙂 — but what I meant was that in Finland we do not kiss our families either, small children and spouses excluded.

      No harm meant, stay safe.

Lady M , your numbers are wrong, not sure where you are getting your information. Spain has been recording around 300 cases daily for the past few days, and have gone without any single death for 3 days in a row. Hospitalization is very low. So yes, they seem to be doing something right.
The rest of you numbers are also incorrect. Please stop spreading misinformation.

It’s wonderful to see them, six years went by so quickly and the girls are so grown up! Leonor’s wearing Hugo Boss already and Sofia’s Zara dress is a bit bizarre but it works, they look amazing.

Two fresh looks from RL in one day! The pleats of the gold skirt mimic the lines in Leonor's dress while the black stripes are reflected in Mom's top. Sofia's gold shoes round out the palette. Leonor is a mini me in a dress that RL has in 2 colors, while Sofia's outfit is just right for someone who has just turned 13. They do indeed look great. -A-

  17. They look great. I think it was about time Leonor moved on from the girl´s dresses. She looks fabulous.
I don´t dislike Sofia´s dress, in fact I think it´s pretty, but it also looks very young, which I think is mainly because of the babydoll-style high waist.

    1. Vanessa, lI agree that all three ladies look lovely. I especially like Sofia's burgeoning fashion taste. She looks quite lovely in that Hugo Boss dress, appearing to have a dearing approach to fashion choices than her older sister, Leonor.

I'd like to see Leonor move to wearing clothing that says she's a mature 15 year old, and will be undertaking more of the duties as the Princess of Asturias, along with other important activities.

If Sofia had worn a different style shoe, perhaps something with a heel, it would have given the outfit a different, more young adult, contemporary look.

    3. Both outfits are women dresses if you look them up at their web site.
They are only 13 and 14 years old, at least in Spain nobody wears heels at that age, they hate them.

  18. A lovely family. I do hope Sofía would wear a more mature dress like her sister does now. Especially since Sofía looks a little older than Leonor, although it's really the other way around.
King Felipe is very stylish. So is the Queen. The princesses are growing so fast and their hair seems to be getting darker.♥️

@ Cassi. The taller of the two in the white Zara is Sofia. She is also the younger than her sister Leonor, who is wearing the Hugo Boss dress.
As a whole royal children are kept in conservative clothing until they are about 16 years old. Lady Louise of GB, and Elizabeth of Belgium are recent examples. Everyone has an opinion, but the only one that matters is that of their mother.
Recently we have been treated to pictures of the Dutch girls, the Norwegians and the Spanish, all in different styles, and there have been complaints for all of them. -A-
