I liked the dress when we saw pictures of her in her office. Not so sure now I’ve seen it full length. I also don’t think a centre parting does her any favours.

Anon 8:32pm - Máxima might be going for the "cute little girl" look. Centre parts are horrible on most gals, even worse with dark roots showing (hello Mette-Marit). Did Máxima actually comb her hair before walking out the door? And the dress looks so much better on the model than on the queen, who doesn't look very queenly in this casual dress. I can't put my finger on it, but something is not quite right. Only good thing I can say is that the colours are nice and it looks very comfy to wear. ~Laurel~

  2. The dress is ok (just ok), I don't like the shoes, I preferred those of the other day with the plastic part. No opinion on the central parting of the hair.

  3. Love the busy "RIXO" look. Queen Maxima wears it well.
The success story behind this newish British mark is worth reading up on.

But love even more the endless work she seems to be doing for her country during this difficult period. Bravo your Majesty.

The first impression someone makes is with her/his face ( inclusive hair). Even with the most beautiful dresses people look awful when their hair hasn't been taken care of. Maxima's
hair looks more and more "dead". I think she should stop colouring. She is a beautiful lady with a lovely smile, working hard. With her natural hair colour she will be even a more impressive queen

It's just not a good look.
    She really needs a stylist.

  8. I admire the Queens work ethic, especially throughout the pandemic. She is leading by example. The Food bank is just one organisation the Queen is highlighting and bringing to the forefront the great work this charity is doing. Well done.

If you look at her hair here you can see her roots and how thin her hair is . If you look at the photos of her 49th birthday picture you can tell it is a wig because the roots do not show and her hair is much fuller and thicker. The picture here you can just tell she doesn't put much emphasis on how she looks because she just throws on some clothes without having her hair styled and out the door she goes. You can't blame it on the pandemic where the hair dressers are staying home because she looked this way before the pandemic. Some of the royal ladies put more emphasis on their looks like Crown Princess Mary or Queen Letizia for example. Having said all of this I do believe Queen Maxima is a sweet and lovely lady who has a heart of gold and a smile to go with it!!!

  10. I absolutely adore the dress, and it looks wonderful on Maxima. But with lank hair, sandals and large earrings that clash with the outfit's colors, it seems a shade informal for an official engagement. "Dress it up" with an attractive updo, nice jewelry and matching bag and pumps, and it would work splendidly. Otherwise, imo it would be spot-on for a queen out in public unofficially, say for casual shopping, dining or strolling where the look needs to be attractive, but not particularly formal.
