Yesterday evening, a video message from Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden was broadcasted in Swedish television channel SVT's TV show 'An Evening Together' (En kväll tillsammans). During the evening, funds were raised for the Radio Aid collection and transferred to organizations that make efforts in response to the covid-19 pandemic in Sweden. As a result of the current pandemic, Radio Aid is asking the public for assistance for the elderly, people with underlying illnesses and other particularly vulnerable groups in Sweden. Radiohjälpen (Radio Aid) is a Swedish help organisation and foundation managed by Sveriges Radio, Sveriges Television and Sveriges Utbildningsradio.

In her video message, Crown Princess Victoria said the following: "Sweden and all of us who live here are in a situation we have never been before. The situation is serious. It is difficult. But it is not hopeless. We will get out of this, too, though the price for many is extremely high in the form of human losses, lost jobs or lost life's work. I thank to everyone in the fields of healthcare and care and all of you who in different ways help us get through the crisis. I want to thank each and every one of you. Let's take care of each other. We are in this together and we will get through it together."

  3. Jolie robe dont la couleur "moutarde" va à ravir à Victoria mais elle semble un peu trop longue ; j'aime beaucoup les créoles !

  4. Yes, love the colour but the style ...... not my cup of tea and the model wearing it doesn't help at all.
I admire the good work that the Princess is doing for her country. Please continue.

I can't believe that Victoria saw that dress on the model and said "Hey, I think I'll buy that!". ~Laurel~

    1. Hey! Thanks Laurel for the humor around that dress! I share your doubts about the dress as worn by the models! Although as we know there are always some ladies who will like it for whatever reason, eg simplicity, one size fitting everybody.... Victoria is not that far away from that category in my view. She managed to improve it via the belt fitting better than on the model, and if the shoulders could be better fitting, why not! Of course not for the Nobel prize ceremony but on an occasion like this one.

She might have, but probably didn't come to it that way. One possibility is that her stylist was searching through buyers media for outfits for her, and found it, ordered it on consignment for Victoria to try on and style before deciding.
It's a quirky dress and perfect to wear for a casual evening gathering at home with a group of fashion-forward friends. Such as a smart summer garden BBQ event. I quite like it because it's different, but only to be worn in the correct social setting. Accordingly I don't like the way Victoria has worn it, but prefer it as shown by the model as the designer intended, flowing at the bodice and with a dropped waist, but I also appreciate that wearing it that way might not suit her.
