    1. I agree wth you:lovely colour but too tight especially at the back of the skirt. This is more "Suits"-style and not royal style. That doesn't flatters her. By the way the dress reminds me of a nearly similar Stella McCartney electric blue dress of Catherine Duchess of Cambridge first worn in summer 2012. So Kate sets the trends not Meghan.

Always great to catch up with this engaging pair! H&M bring energy and focus to their efforts along with fresh, fun fashion.

Meghan’s best accessory is her poise and posture, which elevates this lovely, bright blue dress. Classic yet modern. Hair and make-up are fabulous. High level royal style. Well done!

She can never get it right, right? It’s always too little or too much or something too. She is a beautiful, graceful woman. In my opinion this look is perfect: colorful, simple, elegant. She looks so healthy and radiant. Well done Dutchess.

    4. Jo, Kate, Maxima and Princess Stephanie get just as much criticism as Meghan, at least on this website. As with any other royal, most posters her enjoy celebrating her sartorial successes but just will also point out her failings. It’s the reason for this website!

    6. @Shinystuffbuff What differs are the constant character assassinations and obsessive "body language" readings commentors make towards the DoS. It's extremely pretty and frankly disturbing to read grown women making so many malicious and unfounded remarks. There is often a lack of kindness and a flavor of unkindness when it comes to comments about the DoS.

On a fashion note I actually like her evening makeup. I think her vibrant lip color helps bring this dress to befit and evening event. I can see it for a daytime event but the makeup seals it.

the color of the dress is great but, the fit is not good. it bunches across the bust line, underarms and the skirt.

  6. I like the colour and the sleek style without any frills. But: that´s a summer dress (both style and colour), and why didn´t she put on a coat while outside?
As for the dress itself, I think it had been better with slightly more width in the skirt. That´s a very narrow cut, doesn´t allow for much leg movement. And it´s a size too small for her. Not a fan of visible zips.

The lady in burgundy is wearing a dress that seems to be a little more summery...sheesh!!
She didn't wear a coat, because perhaps she decided to leave it in the car, or maybe she was hot, or maybe she just didn't feel like it.. you would think that she has committed some sort of transgression.

      Vanessa,
It's not a size too small or she would not be able to get in the dress at all. Period. It is her size. But her bottom makes it appear to be tight. She is curvy. That's how it is with women with curves. We can't help it and we can't change it. Unless we have a surgery or something.

      Delete
    4. I can physically get into things two or three sizes too small, but that doesn´t mean it will look good.
By your logic, the right size is the one that you can juuuust squeeze into, because only then you wouldn´t manage to get into the next size down at all.
I kind of find that funny.

    11. Anonymous6/3/20 17:54

Ridiculous comment Ana - the visit to Ireland was "planned" not staged. The reason was to underline the links between the UK and Ireland (shared borders etc) and a visit to an EU country post-Brexit. They were representing this country as they are doing on all visits abroad.

As to staging - can't see anything remotely staged, just a happy couple arriving at/taking part in an event.

    3. Would you feel better if she altered her body so we weren't reminded she is a woman wth curves? You should remember there was a time in the late 1800s when women wore bustles, which emphasized that very part of the body, while still being forced to keep their ankles covered. Fashon is always evolving, as is our idea of what is proper. Meghan has a very nice body, and she doesn't need to camouflage anything.

I do not envy their position this week, but it is what she wanted, so it is what it is. He dress is too summery, too tight, does not fit well. Her hair appears to have grown a foot longer since January. Must have used extensions. No quarrel with them or their plight, they are who they are, they want out of the spot light, it is their choice. Happy and relaxed is not what I see in this couple.... JT

Meghan is following the trend with the pencil dresses too tight. Melania Trump does the same thing and I don't like them on her either. I am an older woman, so I'm probably behind the times. But I think showcasing the derriere is not a good look. Makeup too heavy. Meghan is a natural beauty and she doesn't need that much makeup. Still with all that, she looks good. I do like the color of the dress. And there is a glow about her that is pleasing. I like the way she interacts with people. She projects a genuine warmth. @Vanessa, re coat: Maybe she did not wear a coat because she wanted to present her best immediately after emerging for the first time. I find it - let's say: understandable, even if a bit too much media centered.

Pro: Beautiful color for her, perfect hair! and very good makeup for this occasion and this dress.

Contra: The dress would be perfect if one size larger. Frankly, it is not necessary for a dress to follow sharply the exact silhouette of her bottom. Wanting to look sexy is not the same as being sexy (which she would be one size larger too, without wanting to rub it in). If she chooses to do so (for the price of a front part with horizontal creases) in any other private function, so why not. But double tasteless in her last days as a royal, because then it looks like revenge. (Ann.)

why this color? In the previous years always white & black, now bright light blue for an evening event ... too bad she can do better. I would find a more reserved color more beautiful. The fit doesn't flatter either. It is too short for this standard length of dress, which is clearly visible in the breastline, Tailie. She could have asked Victoria for a little adjustment to her body shape. I heard that they were no longer able to speak well to one another. It is possible that it is a peace offer. It is a pity that you did not get it tailor-made because the shape of the dress is very beautiful. I don't find the hairstyle special either, a ponytail? Also too much make-up, I would find a nude lipstick better - I may seem too stale. But that seems to be well received by the fans, it is not my case. it has nothing to do with classic elegance. but i like the style, but a little less in all areas. Subtle elagnaz and more restraint also about the colors would be more appropriate. she is an LA child who wants to stand out with her appearance, but she would not need it and would bring her image more. Less is more - we know.

Some of you are jealous. Her figure is superb. She doesn't have a flat derriere like some people. The dress fits her like a glove. You have to have the kind of shape she has to wear this style of dress. Look at the backside of the model. Just straight. No shape whatsoever. Her back and her bottom are just one in the same. Basically, a dress in a hanger.

The dress is very beautiful, the woman is very beautiful only the woman is absolutely not the right person in this dress for my taste. The breast looks pressed in, the waist should have been lifted. It looks like she's not wearing fine stockings, which doesn't make her taste ladylike. It seems provocative to me, especially on this occasion. A coat or stole is missing. That is my opinion and it is not about the person himself. If you can already spend money, then a tailor should be affordable or just choose another model. -Dorothe-

You're trying mercilessly to put her down by this "ladylike" comment. She wears a dress of her exact size that shows her curve and for that you think she looks ladylike. Why is that? The only reason I can think of is the fact that she married a popular, beloved british prince. Your envy is so obvious.

    2. Anonymous11/3/20 03:03

Correction: you think she DOESN'T LOOK LADYLIKE because of a tight dress that shows her curve. But the thing is you can't undo what's already done. She'll always be a royal; unless the marriage is annulled. And at this point it's too late. So, dear, you're going to find a way to deal with it.

It’s a sleek and modern dress and fits Meghan better than the model, on whose body it hangs a bit too loose. And I agree with Jo, that Meghan obviously can never get it right in the eyes of some commentators. I find those reactions both odd and very sad. We should encourage and empower other women, not mock or judge.

Too much intimacy in the public. A little bit too much of anything. Hope everything will run fine for them.

They support each other and imho they both suffer still a lot with "how the things turned out". Although there have been some friends who warned them long before their marriage.

Too much of this, too much of that, little too much of anything. What else? You have nothing else to whine about? You're jealous ignorant.

I would like to make 3 comments, I like heavier make up for night time but it would have been too heavy for day time. Some people like their hair parted in the middle and some like it parted on the side and some ladies like to wear it both ways. As for her tush if you got it flaunt it honey!

Is Meghan's dress in two parts? It looks so on photo no. 6, 7, 8.
The dress is tight at the bottom and belly and it crouches. She needs a larger number of dress, the tailor can adjust the dress to fit better.

Very nice dress the color looks great on her,but a bit too snug. I also think a little bit too much makeup?

  52. There's nothing wrong. She has curves. She's not like a dress in a hanger.

You can´t have capitalism without racism. Society decides who is black, who is white, sho is not. I don´t get that you make this decision for MM.

Your comment is nonsense. And I don't make decision for duchess Meghan(by the way, you should address her as duchess which she is. You're being disrespectful) She knows who and what she is.

  56. Liza used the word luminous and I think that is on target. The color, her makeup and hair, and the big smiles are wonderful.
I for one think the back side area of the dress is too snug, but that's a personal preference. I don't mind curves, I just don't think the outline of one's behind always needs to be on display (as it is a lot in fashion of today).

Other than that, they look happy and radiant!

It's very funny. I guess most negative comments come from those who have never heard how Harry's mom was treated by the monarchy before and after she told the world that Charles was having an affair with Camilla. The negative press coverage for Diana up to her death. Harry knows and still has deep wounds. What goes around comes around. Karma. Now the monarchy should review how their conscience. GO HARRY AND MEGHAN make a better world for baby ARCHIE

HAPPINESS AND LOVE, YOU ALSO DESERVE IT like the other families of the monarchy, WHY NOT. MEGHAN DON'T LET RACISTS SUPPRESS YOUR VALUES. EVERYONE WANTS TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY,(the monarchy had protected Charles from having an affair, now they're protecting Andrew) HARRY TOO PROTECTS HIS FAMILY AND I SAY WHAT A GOOD HUSBAND AND FATHER. THANKS FOR THE GOOD EXAMPLE

@Wichita, You cannot stand her. what did she do to you? Other than she married the beloved, popular prince. other than she married into the british aristocracy. And she she happened to be mixed. By the way, the dress fits her beautifully because of her curves. If her backside was flat like certain people, she wouldn't receive so many negative reviews.

I think you need help Wichita. You can't deal with the fact that prince Harry married a beautiful biracial woman.
