I’m not fond of this. Black is a very harsh colour on D. Camilla, and the style of this dress is reminiscent of a casual dressing gown. Interesting to see her in the leather gloves which I assume are to avoid germs? (V.M.)

I like your assessment of her dress looking like a dressing gown. Very accurate. She was wearing gloves on occasion before the virus, and has worn her leather gloves inside at least once before. I happen to love the leather gloves, but only for warmth or to complete an outfit, and only outdoors. I have a real problem with her wearing them as the Queen would. I have wondered for some time if she is trying act like the Queen on some level. She even uses the same umbrellas the Queen does, where the rest of the family uses regular umbrellas. Just my thoughts.

  2. I like the Duchess in black. Her skin and makeup are wonderful. Her hair is lovely. She's a very attractive woman.

I know they probably have her wearing gloves due to coronavirus (since she shakes so many hands) but these are outside gloves worn inside and it looks awkward.

I completely agree. Some black silk fabric gloves would have worked but, the leather just missed the mark. Otherwise, she's lovely.

  4. Elegant, both of them as usual, and absolutely beautiful dress on the the Princess. Lovely occasion!

  5. After the DoCo's perfect appearance earlier that day at Westminster Abbey, she continued to be extremely elegant and well dressed for the evening as well. Only the gloves (shiny leather) are a downpoint here, they're clearly not for an indoor reception at night. This was an occasion for a different type of gloves and she sadly missed it. Loved the PoW's way of greeting people on that day, avoiding any handshakes. Very clever.

  6. Jolie coupe de cette robe noire qui va bien à la silhouette de Camilla même si je pense que le tissu est un peu trop lourd.. Elle porte des gants peut-être par rapport au Coronavirus mais ils semblent trop épais !

  8. Camilla looks very good here; I think collarless necklines are generally best on her and the white embroidery adds an attractive accent to the otherwise very simple dress.

The dress seems harsh somehow, the long leather gloves are for outside event, not indoors, though I totally understand her desire to remain healthy, but wonder if she has stopped smoking, it would help her lungs.... JT

  14. The leather gloves are definitely out of place here, totally wrong with the velvet dress, unfortunately. The neckline is sadly also unflattering for the Duchess.
