  2. This green dress with dots is the first dress at this tour, that I really like.
I'm not that happy with the other dresses, blouses, trousers, yet.
I just love all the coats I saw since now. And new: this green dress with dots :-)

I'm ok with her hair but not a fan of this shorter cut. I prefered her hair longer and I think, darker looks also greater on her.

  3. Thank goodness for the last photos of her in that red knitted top. There she looks like a young woman of today. Everything else looks so last century. She´s made awful choices during this trip.

    2. Agreed. But as for awful fashion choices.....How would we expect the Duchess to dress on official functions? We can argue about colours, patterns and matronly dresses, but it seems these are the fashion trends nowadays. And they can look awful sometimes, and not only on Kate.
As always, Duchess Catherine looks best (and probably feels best) in casual outfits.

  4. Love everything here--the dress, the coat and the lovely coral coloured sweater. Photos of Catherine enjoying herself participating in sports are always good and these are fantastic.

Another pretyy spring, polka-dot piece. I might not have put it with the suede boots, but it works with the belt and the boots are fantastic with this coat. This classic style fits her so well. The green pieces and shamrock necklace are very appropriate and honoring Ireland! I love the coral sweater. It is a great color and is nicely set off by the black pants. What a great fashion ending to this tour.

Her hair has too much volume, which makes her look matronly.

I think most "matrons" (you mean: older women?) would be happy having so much volume.

Discriminatory language (ageism and "matronism") against (older) women - I find it very disappointing. Ruins this blog for me.

    2. Having a healthy head of hair is matronly?

    3. So I'm guessing women who also has volume in their hair are matronly as well? Your comment doesn't make any sense at all.

    4. I disagree. Cutting the hair shorter gives it more volume instead of weighing and pulling everything down. Shorter hair gives you a lift, and often makes a woman look younger.
I'm so tired of seeing these heavy, long locks of hair on everyone, sometimes they are even extensions. I applaud Woman who are able to defy the fashion trends!

  8. The coral sweater, great hair, fantastic coat, and fierce boots win the day. The dress is blah.

  9. I dislike the dress. It looks far too long and matronly looking. I think Kate is better served wearing solid colors, perhaps with a contrasting color in belts, collars, etc. The coats she is wearing on this trip are indeed smart looking and chique.

Lovely green dress, and she looked as if she was having so much fun playing sports with the children. In my opinion, the shorter hair cut, especially the fringe is not a good look for her. I do understand the desire to change ones hairstyle at many points over your life, but the fringe does not do her any favors.... JT

How on earth can thick bouncy healthy hair be matronly, it’s youthful.

The sweater and pants are darling and really match her personality.
I think green was really overdone this trip and I don't think it's the most flattering color for her.

  13. I love the beautifully-tailored midi-length coat with the high-heeled boots -- fierce and stunning. That, and yesterday's lovely pink and black ensemble, are my favorites of the Ireland visit.

  15. Beautiful green dress. But ugh, those awful skinny jeans AGAIN! One day she will look back and wonder what in the world she was thinking. Kind of how the world despised bell-bottom pants for decades before anyone could stomach the idea of “flares.”

  16. Very pretty dress and coat. I like her sports look as well. I think her hair is a little too long.

  17. Grünes Kleid mit weißen Punkten - gute Wahl! Aber der Schnitt dieses Kleides: sehr altmodisch. Gefällt mir gar nicht und lässt sie trotz der Accessoires eher fad wirken.

  18. This dress and the suede boots are a mismatch. The dress is not well fitting, loose in the bodice and arm area, I don't mind the dress but something is a bit off with it.

Enough is enough… Out with the green and in with ...coral! Lovely, sporty and nice colour on Kate.

  21. Big fan of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Love her coats, accessories and sporty look for this trip
Also, her hair is awesome. However, her dresses on this trip were a no for me. This is unusual, as there are probably only 5-6 outfits I've ever not liked. The green shiny dress would have been nice except for the ruffle at the bottom. All and all though I love their work and dedication to causes that benefit others.

  22. I am visiting in the US and have been to all the most exclusive shops. They are all selling these so called matronly dresses. Young women in the restaurants are all wearing these so called matronly dresses and look gorgeous. I would love to buy one but I am of a certain age. I guess I’d better not make myself look even more matronly! As to my hair, I wish I had more volume, but then I guess I would look matronly.
Her skinny pants are in bad taste, but I can’t find one young woman who isn’t wearing the same skinny pants and they all look wonderful. I know we all have different opinions which is only fair but I have come to the conclusion that this girl can’t win no matter what she wears. I haven’t even mentioned her suits with the skirts that are too short! She’s 37! If she can’t wear these things now, then when?

What is it with her and skinny jeans? Why isn’t anyone pointing out how inappropriate it is to show your every bit and muscle? Tanya

You probably think it's because she isn't Meghan.

Plenty of people comment on her skinny jeans - and don't like them.

Disappointed that only one single Irish was chosen on this tour. Throwing together green clothes in mismatched shades doesn’t make it diplomatic dressing, and certainly not stylish. CH
