On March 19, 2020, Queen Elizabeth II left Buckingham Palace to start her Easter break, one week earlier than planned due to the coronavirus pandemic. Prince Philip has been helicoptered from Wood Farm in Sandringham to Windsor to be with his wife. (Several royal events will be postponed including all garden parties at the palace and the annual Maundy Service at St George’s Chapel on 9th April will not go ahead.) |
ReplyDeleteLa reine a l'air bien pimpante en tenue décontractée dans une déclinaison de bleu, comme la couleur de ses yeux ; adorable le corgi mais il me semblait qu’elle n’avait plus de chiens de cette race !
Even when dressed casually, the Queen still looks elegant. Her four-legged companion is, no doubt, a great comfort to her.
ReplyDeleteAnd God bless the royal corgi!
ReplyDeleteBlue looks good on the Queen. The corgi has no worry in the world, what a life!. I am glad the DoE is with her, this will be a lonely Easter.
ReplyDeleteI hope that both she and the Duke find safe haven and happiness at Windsor. Hopefully the lack of official duties will give her a well earned rest. Perhaps a good time for her seamstreeses to have a break also.
DeleteThe Queen's dog is cute.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Royal Doggie riding in style! I don't think The Doggie is a corgi, because corgis have perky ears, and The Doggie has soft, droopy ears. Either way, The Doggie is sweet. - I'm also thinking back a few years, and the Queen saying she would not get another doggie, after her corgis Hope and Willow passed away. Either way, or any which way, it's great that the Queen gets a break from the public turmoil of her family issues,in the company of The Doggie! - Ellie
ReplyDeleteIn fact, the dog, whose name is Candy, is a mix of corgi and dachshound. So, if you will, it's a "dorgi".
DeleteThanks, DSC, that explains it! So The Doggie whose name is Candy, is the (or an)successor after Holly and Willow. - Sorry, I got Holly's name wrong in my previous post. - Ellie
