Crown Princess Victoria's name day celebrated at Royal Palace

Crown Princess Victoria's name day was celebrated at the Royal Palace. The Crown Princess's name day is traditionally celebrated on March 12 every year. The crown princess's name day was celebrated without public today because of the coronavirus. However, soldiers from the Royal Palace army were allowed to hand over flowers to the Crown Princess according the tradition. Since the early 1990s, the Swedish Armed Forces have celebrated The Crown Princess' name day in the Inner Courtyard of the Royal Palace. (The Crown Princess wore a blazer by Baum und Pferdgarten.)

Happy Name Day to the lovely Victoria! On the fashion front: from the waist up - great (maybe not so much the pussy bow, but I can live with it). Waist-down: Oops, she forgot to take off her pyjamas…!! She must have been in a great hurry, or was hoping that the photographer will not take full-length pictures... Pity, because this had so much potential for a sleek, beautiful outfit, ruined by the unnecessary "trendy" piece... She can do so much better

  2. Either she fired her stylist or the current one is horrible. She has just been ghastly lately.

  4. Oui pour ce blazer dans ce joli blanc-cassé mais je ne suis pas fan de ce pantalon à gros carreaux ; jolies petites créoles originales !

Nice to see her smile. Happy Names Day Pss Victoria of Sweden. I like her blazer a little spring. Sadly we didn't see the children with them. A little happiness in these trying time.

The outfit is "boxy". She; however, has a beautiful smile!

  7. Sigh. Sorry to say, but that looks almost clownish.
I actually like the shape of trousers, it´s a good cut and would have worked fine in any normal colour.
Patterned trousers are tricky territory. I think that these trousers could work if styled right, I´m thinking casual fitted t-shirt and sandals maybe, and since the trousers will inevitably take center stage, everything else needs to be kept super simple and casual. No jacket.
This combination doesn´t work for me. These trousers don´t work with the strict blouse. The shoes` colour clashes with the entire outfit. The jacket is best combined with a skirt.

I don’t know what to say really, this is as bad as it ever gets... please Victoria, what happened to your sense of style?

Mon Dieu..those trousers are just like a pair of curtains... sorry, Victoria can do so much better.

I was okay with the outfit until I saw the pants. No. Just, no. If she had to go that route, the ones on the model are a *little* bit better but not by much. Stripes, window-pains, and the like are very tricky. Even on the best figures they can end up making you look twice as large, or frumpy, or foolish (there's a reason why we see these types of pants on clowns at the circus - okay?).

  11. The upper part looks very nice, but I don't know what to say about those pants. They are just too hilarious. The earrings are great.

Yes, Zucchina, Victoria looks great from the waist up. The pants are a joke, to put it mildly. Oh dear. ~Laurel~

  12. What a poor choice of an outfit on her birthday. Nothing matches, ill fitting. The beige limp blouse, the white and gray plaid pants, the cream colored jacket, the brown shoes...and of course the ever present bun! A sartorial disaster.

The earrings, jacket, and boots are the only good pieces in this outfit. Sadly, even these pieces cannot help the rest...just so bad.

    1. As everybody here I don't like the pants, difficult to put it another way. If you look at fashion designers you will see such things frequently. If you look at the photo gallery, some are worse. It is not a reason to adopt them. But I think Pr Victoria has really reoriented her style towards more daring & trendy things. I can imagine that this is appealing to younger people in Sweden.

Thinking a bit more ahead, we might have little to comment on in the near future!! I hope it will only be the "near" one. But who knows? Anyway take care, all of you. Have a nice Sunday!

I wish I was her stylist. Imagine dressing such a goodlooking person on so many different occations, and not have to worry about the cost! It would be very different from what she’s been wearing lately!!! Dorothea

Gorgeous blazer, pretty blouse...and then there’s the trousers. I don’t find this wide-legged style flattering on anyone, not even the models. I think CP Victoria’s stylist pays too much attention to fashion and not enough to style. (V.M.)

    1. probably yes, but it must be in agreement with her. We would need the opinion of the younger generation of Swedes as said above.

Oh, dear. I hate to be critical of such a wonderful Princess. But the pants have to go. Actually, I don't know anyone who would look good in them. The checks are too big. Maybe a tiny check might work. But this one - Oh, well, tomorrow is another day.

  20. Beautiful well tailored blazer, love the blouse. Not a fan of the pants. Great to see the CP smiling and engaging.

Merci pour cette précision ; j'avais pensé Anniversaire au lieu de Jour du nom... En France, le 14 juillet, nous célébrons notre Fête Nationale !////

Wow! looks like a Hästen's pyjamas! Checkered trousers, perhaps, but slimmer and in other colours with a matching jumper, not a jacket. But that combination is beyond ghastly. Why not just a plain simple pants suit? I don't get it, doesn't she have friends around who could go shopping with her (online or downtown...)?
