Cambridge Kids applauded staff of the National Health Service

Yesterday evening at 8 p.m., people across the United Kingdom applauded from their gardens, their windows, their balconies, and their front doors for the National Health Service’s #clapforcarers movement. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis took part in the applause too.

On the social media accounts of Kensington Palace, a video showing the three Cambridge children applauding in their backyard was shared. To the video, the following message was added by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge: "To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other National Health Service staff working tirelessly to help those affected by COVID19: thank you."

Princess Charlotte looks like a mixture of the Queen and Kate
Prince Louis look like Prince Andrew at that same age
But as we know, children change a lot. They might look very different when we see them next.

    4. Agree on Charlotte and Louis but think that George certainly looks like William as a small boy--don't see him like the Spencers at all. Louis is very cute, isn't he?

  4. Qu'ils sont adorables tous les trois... Ils ont bien grandi surtout le prince Louis ; je trouve qu'il a le même regard que le prince Georges !

Just adorable. Really improved my mood just watching them. As for their looks, I think all three look like the Middleton side of the family. I can see a little of William in George, but that's all. Of course, their looks will change over time.

How nice to see them again. Little Louis was not seen for a while. These children do their part for support.

Mhhh..don't know. I know what they want to convey with that but my felling is that children get instrumentalised for a cause here they do not really understand. Stop clapping hands and better pay fair and higher wages for nursing staff worldwide. Clapping hands alone will not make their current situation any better. Frieda

    1. Why be a stick in the mud? These kids aren’t being abused or forced to clap. Everyone wants to help in their own way and this is a nice gesture. Why do you have to overthink it?

    2. As a health care professional, this was very moving for me and I appreciate the sentiment.

    3. @Frieda I agree. It's sad that the funding to the NHS was increasingly cut before this pandemic. Hopefully people can remember the sacrifices healthcare workers made during this time after everything has passed and give them dignified wages and working conditions.

Ok...was just my thought. I am always a bit reserved when the media present children and try to reach people in a more targeted way. In psychology, there is the "baby schema", women are particularly susceptible here.... But if you all like it, then be it. Frieda
