  2. Queen Margrethe's suit is very attractive with the jacket trimmed with the tweed used for the skirt. I can't tell if she is wearing a scarf or if the blouse has a tied neck. At any rate, it is very pretty. Prince Frederik looks handsome, even with his arm in a sling (skiing accident?). He and his mother seem to be sharing a joke. As for the chairs, the backs are very sculptural while the seats are rather rustic, much like the cane-webbing of chairs you might find in a farmhouse. Perhaps that was the designer's intent.

  5. Dans cette superbe salle des chevaliers, lumineuse Margrethe avec cette veste rouge délicatement galonnée, chemisier et petit foulard de la même couleur ! Jolie broche que j'aimerais bien voir de plus près !

A very practical birthday present - something that will benefit hundreds of people in the years to come and not just the queen. The chairs are simple yet elegant with bright colors and a modern (yet not modern) style. Looks like the new furniture has royal approval. ~Rose~

  9. This is a beautiful ensemble the Queen is wearing. Lovely, rich luscious red, suits her perfectly. I'm not sure if this is a scarf or a necktie but I love the look of it, fabulous. Love the addition of the brooch.
