  1. Queen Mathilde looks superb. I love her elegant outfit, and the hairstyle is a nice change of pace. My only quibble is that those gorgeous earrings are better suited to a formal evening event.

  2. At the 9/11 Memorial, the King and Queen were accompanied by 4 policeman who assisted after the 2016 terrorist attacks in Brussels. The King and Queen placed a flower and flag in the name of the only Belgian victim of 9/11.

Thank you for that information. With all the many names there I was wondering why they seemed to have chosen a specific one.

Queen looks like her daughter in these photos. i like when she holds her hair back, its very youthful. lovely classic outfit, king wearing matching tie, a very thoughtful husband

    1. Her hairstyle is a nice occasional change, however I don't think it looks youthful.

    2. In the first photo, she has the same facial expression that we often see on Elisabeth. That was my first thought too.

  4. Emperor Naruhito has set a new fashion. King Philippe's tie is in the same colour tone as his wife's dress (first photo) but not her coat as in later photo.

    1. I noticed his tie, too, though in a bad way. I find the colour jarring. Either match her outfit or choose something totally different.

  6. Très élégante dans cette tenue assortie à l'écharpe, la pochette et les escarpins. Superbes les boucles d'oreilles ; j'aurais bien aimé les voir de plus près !

The dress (at least the top, which we can see in the picture), the coat and all the accessories looks very good together. -Siri

Totally exited about that entire outfit. One of the best colours for Mathilde, the coat's cut and length enhances her feminine figure - such delikate ankles! - and, what I always find quite important: her slightly darkish tights are just wonderful with this classy garment.

It is really top, just one slight remark: an overcoat should not need a belt.
