    1. My very stylish Mother, along with other beautiful women of the time, used to wear a scarf just like that on occasion. I'm so sick of all the Monaco & Monaco related bashing on the internet. Charlotte is private. She's not a celebrity looking to "build a brand" or whatever.
She is strikingly beautiful, she's a Mother, & can we PLEASE, ladies, quit bashing each other?? Women are more hurtful to us than men could ever be.

Oh please.... I like these natural eyebrows 1000 times better than the socalled ‘styled’ ones spotted on most women with ridiculous lips who all seem to prefer the ridiculous brows as well. So common, something for WAGS. Charlotte is a natural beauty.

Also don't see why women need to suffer pain in order to meet someone else's standards of beauty.

    4. These comments made my heart feel lighter! THANK YOU to G, Freya, and Lily T. Maybe people think it's ok to bash Charlotte, but she did not ask to be famous because of who her parents and Grandparents are. And i was admiring her eyebrows! I've always had thick ones (luckily i was a teen in the 1980s, thank God for Brooke Shields!) Now i have no idea what to do with my brows. I do know i wouldn't look good with a heavily drawn on brow, but mine could definitely use some help :0)

Hard to believe that graceful and beautiful Grace Kelly was her grandmother. Sorry but its horrible styling and look.

    1. But being young and different is "cool" or something like that.

    2. And Princess Caroline is her mother (also graceful). Charlotte has a healthy body which she prefers to dress with an edginess that 's uniquely hers. When the occasion demands it, she dresses in a manner deemed graceful and/or classic.

    3. Grace Kelly was my cousin, which i only mention for context . I 100% guarantee that she would ADORE all of her grandchildren and great -grandchildren, & ugly words about them are not appreciated. She loved children. She was fiercely loyal to family - both her family of origin, the Kellys (who often treated her shabbily) & her Grimaldi family. If you think you like Grace? Don't bash her family. Stand up for them. My lord, Charlotte attended a show, she's not in it.

  4. Absolutely gorgeous! Many could not don a bandanna with such panache. Her jacket, pants and blouse create a nice ensemble, but her greatest asset is her smile.

I also agree. I think she looks funky and fun and fresh and I love the way she decided to wear the scarf (YSL possibly?) - on her head. And why not? It's stylish and has nothing to do with whether she had time to style her hair or not, as others above have implied. It's simply something she wanted to do.
Furthermore, she fits right in with others at the show such as the two guys sitting with her and that's cool too. She is such a beauty, and her beautiful eyes and smile complete a wonderful look.

    2. "Pirates of the Caribbean" was exactly my thought when I saw this. Charlotte is so lovely, she would look good in a bin bag but this is certainly an odd selection of garments for this event.

Annie, I have the same opinion, she is such a beautiful woman, but I really have to say I don't like most of her style.

    4. You people don't understand style at all. You look petty. That scarf look? Very popular in the 1970s. You remind me of why my Mom stopped wearing hats to church every week. Someone said "Do you think you're better than us?" And she never wore a hat again. I was a little girl, and knew that was nasty and jealousy - and insane since 97% of the women there loved my Mom, her style which was always modest, and told us they wished they could wear hats. It just was a time when that had fallen out of fashion, but my beautiful Mother has never cared about fads.
The negative comments say more about you. You need to know this.

  7. I like the outfit and I like the bandana - I just don't think the two go together. I like the shorter hair as well.

She seems much happier these days - I think she has found her groove and we see far less of that moody bad smell expression she used to sport.

What an original outfit, she looks so 70’ . I particularly like the very good choice of colors, the brownish khaki combines perfectly with the navy blue. She has the most exquisite beauty.

MARIMAR

Liz, what a judgmental comment.... what do you mean she won’t end up well? Because she dresses edgy and uses black nail polish? So I guess millions of women are going straight to hell!!
On another note... all the well dressed rich aristocrats that wear pinky nails, but have all kind of “issues”, should be safe ... how ridiculous!!

  12. Charlotte's timeless beauty and exquisite sartorial style is on point at a fashion show. She chooses not to wax/thread her eyebrows, has styled her hair with a scarf, and has the grace and beauty of both Princesses Grace and Caroline.

I visit this site for some frivolity and to read others' take on style & fashion. In a world where some tabloids and other mediatic forms constantly berate, belittle and bully women, it is more disheartening when as women we also do. We are better than this, and can do better.

    1. @Cassi, thank you so for your kind comment. When we think that humanity is getting better at this thing called life, we stumble into comments about the character of a fellow woman, just because she chooses to dress a little hippie, a bit retro and dares to wear black nail polish. Well, fashion has been pushing boundaries for centuries, from men wearing powder, fake moles, wigs, thigh pants, silk stockings to bell bottoms, earrings & tattoos. The list from the female counterparts it’s too long to mention. And here we are... equating a choice of clothing ( actually pretty modest) and nail polish to morals.
      Oy vey!!!

Covering her roots? There's some spray and touch powder for that.

And her eyebrows need some grooming. I'm not saying pluck them out within an inch of their lives but there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between natural eyebrows and two caterpillars sitting on your forehead. The headscarf just emphasizes and draws more attention to them being unkempt.

As her hair colour is different here from recent outings unlikely she has roots.

      The two caterpillars are natural.

Eyebrows that look caterpillars on your forehead is never natural. :-)

That could be a picture of me in 1974 - wider leg pants, long blazer and “Jackie O” style head scarf. All she’s missing is large sunglasses atop her head. I love her look and she looks beautiful and chic.
