  1. Je crois voir mais je n'en suis pas certaine que Maxima porte une jupe en cuir avec un haut d'une belle couleur ; superbes les escarpins.. Mathilde est ravissante dans ce tailleur-pantalon de couleur "corail" au joli boutonnage !

I heard Queen Maxima speak today. She showed herself to be very clever, knowledgeable and passionate for change which helps. A very impressive woman - dressed appropriately for the event. What a credit to her county!

Yes she is a credit to her country and a champion for women everywhere, young and old. She's has been like this for years. A strong and very intelligent woman who knows the issues and stands behind her point of view. As a senior financial executive myself, I understand her position behind the issues she champions and have had tremendous respect for the work she does in the business world while also managing her queenly duties and being a wife and mother. And despite these accomplishments, all some people can say about her is to criticize her hair! How trivial can one get?
      Brava, Maxima.

Don’t exaggerate: this is a site about presentation and not about content!
Her presentation is sometimes horrible ( wrong outfit, wrong hair and hardly understandebly English pronunciation)

Stop the fawning......non of this has been accomplished on basis of her own merits..... And the world and the Netherlands are full of women who have jobs besides being a wife and a mother under quite different circumstances, to put it mildly.
And last but not least: it remains totally unclear what targets she is meeting at the end of the day.... a question real women with real jobs are facing yearly. So a job with not the slightest stress or pressure to perform as well.

    7. Hi Anon 10:52 I wonder whether you are the right person to comment on the English of Maxima, seeing your written English : hardly understandable..... would be much better.
She sticks to a "business style" rather than royal one, and I think it makes her more credible over there. I agree with Jemmi. But I also agree that her hair could be better.

Agree. Maxima is just the wife of the King (head of state)and has not at all the rank of a Queen. But having said this we must also conclude that as she is in this position she can do some positive things like in fact all royals do. Almost any royal in Europe is ambassador for a UN branche.

She has the rank of Queen Consort - so yes, she does have the rank of Queen.

And she actually had a "real job" before she married so she is taking some actual experience with her.

  3. And I thought she had finally learned how to make her hair look good, and now this!!! sad.

A royal, a professional, yet forgets what a hair brush is for. She would look so much younger, with a shorter hairstyle, without the hair extensions. The hair detracts so much from her overall look, sad to say.... JT

    1. Although I am not a specialist, I don't think she is wearing extensions here. She has them sometimes for evening occasions. The problem here is rather excessively tapered hairstyle, and insufficient care.

Maxima looks great;her har is sassy.Davos is a get together for unelected rich people who have an axe to grind. I know world leaders do join the chat. How will we spend millions???.We don't need a new world order.Stop buying new clothes which ends up in land fill, stop using the phone which uses and wastes air time and technology.Stop flying around the world wasting jet fuel and polluting the atmosphere.Stop buying junk food.Stop using plastic.Stop having GM crops which destroys the food chain.Stay away from China now the China virus is spreading around the world

  9. Yes this is a fashion blog, thats why I'm only going to comment on fashion. My wish is that fashion becomes more flattering again to Women!
What's happened to neat and well coiffed hair that flatters the face, what's happened to tailoring!
The huge red coat with the embroidery is nice in colour, but the collar sticks up in back and shoulders, high enough to destroy any hairstyle (if you have a hairstyle that is.) Do they really wear extensions to achieve this look? Hard to believe.
My beef is, almost every women tries to look the same, long hair, high heels they can barely walk in, too tight or too oversized clothes, etc.
We are all Individuals and should dress and style in what flatters us and is comfortable to wear.
Overall Queen Maxima looks good, only would recommend a good Hairdresser.

  10. I'm with you, Janine!
It is so hard to find a pretty, flattering dress these days. I may have to resurrect my sewing skills of long ago.

No me gusta el abrigo demasiado grande, ni la ropa que lleva debajo, ni el pelo, aqui comentamos como van vestidas, peinadas, no busquemos tres pies al gato, fallo en todo; otra vez acertara.

The skirt is the best part of her total look. I like the slight different color of the blouse, although the side tie is rather strange. If you are a queen and represent a country in any capacity...take the time to show you care about your appearance and at least put some rollers in or use an iron to help your hair.
