Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf visited Van Gujjar Village

On the fifth and last day of their official visit to India, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia continued to make visits relating to environmental protection and biodiversity. The King and Queen visited Van Gujjar village in Jim Corbett National Park to discuss and learn about the group's traditional farming and animal husbandry. The King and Queen met with representatives of the Van Gujjar community, a former nomadic forest tribe. It is the only Muslim forest dwelling community in the country.

  2. The King and Queen look appropriately dress for a trip to a farm. To me, the greatest things about these photos are the two little boys who cling to their father (assuming) in total disregard for everything going on around them. They are adorable.

    1. Oh yes he does laugh, a lot. He is laughing when appropiate, not just because there is a camera in front of him. This trip with all the 'outdoor' activities is very close to the King's heart and he takes it very seriously.

And in a couple of days they will be back at home dressing for the Nobel gala... :-) Nice to see that they are still physically fit enough for these kind of trips!
