Queen Margrethe held a diplomatic reception at Amalienborg

On December 13, 2019, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark held a diplomatic reception for newly appointed ambassadors from Switzerland, Greece, The Netherlands, Ireland and Japan at Christian VII's Palace in Amalienborg. At the reception, the ambassadors handed out their credentials to the Queen. Only when this has happened, an ambassador can start his work in Denmark.

  2. Queen Margrethe's red dress is très élégante! As I remember, she wore it for the first time
    at a pre-reception before Prince Joachim's or CP Frederik's wedding ?

  6. What wonderful pomp and ceremony. The Queen looks wonderful. Love the addition of the brooch on her jacket. Red is definitely her colour.

On the occasion of welcoming new Ambassadors from Switzerland, Greece, The Netherlands, Ireland and Japan, May prosperity of Denmark and Danish Royal Family continue to reign.

  8. Beautiful Queen Margarethe. Very danish indeed, red suits her a lot. And since she's also a lipstick-queen she looks - with those lips - much younger than her age (which age? A real Queen hasn't got any age, that's why Kate won't be Queen in short term since everybody is still asking about her age).
