  1. Love the Queen's coat and hat (refreshingly different from the usual large brims though I like those too), but I especially like this shade of green. Bright, but not too bright, and very festive. Sophie looks very smart sitting in the car beside her mother in law.

  2. What a great color of the Q coat. I think she look a bid sad. The DoE still in hospital and every thing else it is a bit much. The Css of Wessex looks lovely so Lady Louise. Hope Christmas day we will see happier faces and lots of family.

    1. I know this is not the place for commentary, but it is sad that the Queen chooses to be with her family rather than at her husband's side in the hospital. At his age, she really should make him her priority at Christmas time.

    2. maybe he does not want! He does not have the reputation of being so easy going, of course I don't know him personally... nor their family context

    3. There is plenty of time to go to church and the hospital. We all feel better to go church it helps you to cope with life!

    4. In the past when the DoE was admitted to hospital the Queen did visit - assuming therefore that she is taking the doctors' word for it that he is fine and it is routine. They don't see each other for weeks sometimes since he retired, although apparently they speak daily. This arrangement can still stand while he is in hospital. It might seem a bit strange to onlookers but I think they have a strong but rather old-fashioned marriage that works for them.

  5. The Queen lovely as ever and the shade of green is wonderful. Lady Louise looks lovely, like her boots. The young boy always has his hands clasped tightly in front of him and no coat on today, rather odd. Sophie, your pants are horrible, to wear balloon pants is not a good look, and to pair the casual hat with those pants is just not a good look. Edward, we hardly see you.

  7. I love the Queens coat she looks so festive;she appears to have a lot on her mind;I wish her peace in the New Year. Sophie's hat looks like an Australian Akubra cattlemans hat; I used to have one like that until it got so battered.Viscount Severn needs to relax;I don't think he ever wears a coat.Lady Louise looks good.If there Christmas is as happy as yours they will be lucky.

  8. If you look at older pictures Peter Phillips did the same at around that age. The girls all had coats on and he just had a suit jacket on and his hands clasped in front.

  9. I like the colour of the queens outfit, but I don't like the coat, it looks like grass on a footballfield.

Sophie and Louise look wonderful :-)
