  1. she is the most gorgeous, and regular looking of all.
I wish she would wear skinny jeans with that jacket.

  3. We don't often see the Japanese princesses so casually dressed. I think Princess Kako looks great in her blue jacket and plaid wide-leg pants, and I particularly like her earrings. I hope she is having a wonderful birthday!

  4. Lovely color and style of jacket, although the shoulders are too narrow and it's too short, and Kako has it closed left over right. The pants don't really go with the small/short jacket; slim black or navy pants would be better. She seems to fan out from the narrow shoulders to the extra-wide pants. I don't care for the shoes either. The jacket is similar to the longer 1960s "car coat", I had a red one. Kako looks like a lovely young lady. *Rose*

  5. I agree the trousers are the weak point of the outfit. But is she allowed to wear skinny jeans??

My guess is they wear trendy, up-to-date fashions in private and when they are not being photographed. After all, those Japanese princesses spend a lot of time in the West attending schools. So I imagine they fall in with the rest of the crowd. Remember the current Empress attended high school in the U.S., college in the U.S. and England. So they all are aware of fashion trends. In fact, they are probably more cosmopolitan and worldly than a lot of women in the West.

  7. Gosh, 25 already...I'm behind the times, still thinking of Kako and her sister as being barely out of their teens. And Prince Hisahito is growing into such a handsome young man. Time isn't just marching on, it's flying.

Kaki's jacket is great, quite youthful and fits perfectly. I agree with others, though, that these pants look wrong with it. I would pair it with well-tailored boot- cut jeans.

  8. A week or so ago, Countess Sophie wore wide legged pants, they were awful. The look still not appropriate for this young lady, the jacket is too short, the pants too wide, and the shoes do not match anything. She also should ditch this weird 'half bang' look. In 20 years, she will regret this choice. She is a lovely young woman, accentuate the positive.

  11. Beautiful outfit this casual clear skyblue jacket and the trousers are looking good although monochrome trousers would have been better and yes closed shoes.
But still she can wear this because of her charismatic beauty. Aar
