    1. Yes, everyone looks terrific. But for me the Queen and Princess are stunning. The sombre background of a Scottish day help to accentuate the colours also. Question ?? how does the duchess Kate keep her figure like that?

    2. Sandringham is not in Scotland

    3. Opps .... yes .... it's in Norfolk. A long way away from Scotland. Just a further confirmation as to why I got bad marks for British History when I was in school.

    4. Don't worry, Deadeggs - I am sure that was only due to your boring teacher!

  4. Schöne Fotos.
Für mich sind hier die Mode-Gewinner:
    1. Die Queen
    2. Prinzessin Anne
    3. Charlotte

  5. Wow — what a Christmas feast of gorgeous color, style and tailoring! The Queen in her festive red, Princess Anne in two luscious shades of purple, and Camilla in deep vibrant blue are standouts — and Charlotte’s beautiful little coat in deep teal green does the youngest generation proud 🙂. Catherine’s neutral ensemble more than holds its own via elegant style and tailoring. She looks fabulous.

  6. Oh the vibrant colors on Princess Anne and Camilla ! Prince George and Viscount Severn look shy, but Princess Charlotte is the real little lady. Such nice moments !

  7. Une couleur qui flashe pour la reine ; aurait-elle un peu minci ? Adorable petit manteau pour la mignonne Charlotte … Et le vicomte Severn toujours sans manteau !!

  8. Catherine looks elegant, love her coat and hat, on the other hand I do not like Queen's red outfit, she doesn't look nice in that strong colour.
The rest of the royalties also don't look good at all the colors and styles are all wrong.

  9. Wow, for everyone!!! The Queen looks wonderful in that bright red, absolutely perfect for Christmas! Catherine's coat looks so luxurious and cozy, I could wrap up in that all day (great match with Sophie, who looks beautiful as usual). I also love Anne's coat, that brighter lapel is great. Her and Camilla look wonderful in that purple, nice to see bright colors on them. Of course, the kids look adorable.
But all in all, everyone looks smashing!
    Merry Christmas to all!

The brooch is a wow too. This is a new look for Kate but great combo.George and Charlotte nice outfits but more important so well behaved,no more little babies. It was very nice to see Eugene and Jack and Beatrice and Edo,both looked happy. Well Camilla and Anne seem to like the same color purple, great look on both Ladies. Nice to see the Wessex's there too. Nice outfits. Someone send me a beautiful Christmas card what sticks in my mind is what it said. God send his beloved son,he paid a debt he did not owe. We owe a debt we can not repay.

  11. Duchess Catherine is looking lovely, especially the make-up and the hat. Yes, everybody looks well put together. I wish Lady Louise would get support to dress for her age. Now it looks like her mother wants to outshine her.

    3. Anon, I have always thought the same thing, but would never say it. Sophie dresses so nice and modern and poor Lady Louise just always looks so simple and plain. She never has a different hairstyle. I feel so sorry for her. She would be a pretty girl if she had some guidance.

  13. I love Catherine's coat, it's so beautiful. Charlotte's dark green coat is lovely and really suits her and looks good with her dark tights. And doesn't George look good in long pants and a dark suit. My personal preference is Camilla's purple over Anne's. *Rose*

  14. One thing I do not unterstand is why the boys (George and James) are not wearing a coat, when everyone else does, especially all grown up males. Don't they feel cold?
I am relieved though that George is wearing trousers instead of shorts.

    1. Every year people comment on poor James not dressed warm enough and looking cold; but perhaps he just wants to go out "as is". Hopefully he's not freezing. On the other hand, George is wearing a sweater under his jacket, hopefully one with long sleeves to keep him cozy (and maybe even some long johns). *Rose*

  19. Such Happy, Merry Christmas! the beautiful light of the sunset made every detail stand up and colored the scene in the most memorable way; Thank you for posting the snap of P.Charlotte curtsey to the leaving Queen; It was such a warm moment. What a feast for eyes the sunlit winter day had brought! From the elegant red of HM outfit, the soft grey elegant wool bouclé of HRH, the soft, rich velvet coat and the purple two-tone wool both in striking purple which suits both the P of Wales and Princess Royal so well, all the way to the superb outfit of P.Beatrice and everything in between; the hats and head bends included; even the men in their soft coats of different shades of winter. One of the memorable Christmas visuals. Jolly day!
